The Roll-Up Feature Auto Refresh
Once the Roll-Up feature is enabled, the subtasks under each header should drive the header dates above. It seems that I need to manually right-click and 'roll-up' the header dates each time I update the subtask dates below. Is there a way to enable an auto-refresh on this feature? It would be ideal to have the header dates automatically update based on the subtask updates.
Thank you for posting this suggestion Jen Johnson! I'm passing it on to our Product team 👍

I second this!! It is way too manual of a process to have to roll up the parent task each time a subtask date changes.
Sarah Gavin Thanks a lot for bumping this thread!
Have you seen this newer functionality - date rollup? Once you enable rollup for a project, the project’s dates will be set automatically and you’ll no longer be able to change them manually. If you or other users change the start date of the earliest task, subtask, or subproject or the end date of the latest one, the rolled-up project dates will be adjusted automatically. Can this help in your case?

I have seen the date rollup feature just recently and that will help for sure in some cases, but at the task level would be even better! I have a lot of templates with dependencies that will have timelines change occasionally so if a subtask date is changed, it would be so much easier if the parent tasks start/end dates reflected that without having to manually roll up each time.
Sarah Gavin Thanks for sharing this additional detail, I'm passing your feedback to the Product team too 👍

Has there been any update on an auto refresh of date roll up? Currently, it appears we need to right click at the top of the schedule and click "Branch Roll Up".
Hi Ryan Hunter, not for the moment, we'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates🙋🏻♀️
This is essential to any efficient project management software!

Hi everyone,
Just for clarity, our team has access to each suggestion posted in the Product Feedback forum here. The guide to voting and statuses is based on a minimum of 60 votes. It means that there is a threshold which, once reached, automatically requires the Product Team to provide an update. We have so many great ideas here on the Community, it's impossible to investigate, comment and implement them all, but we can at least commit to updating everyone on ideas that have 60 or more votes.
This does not mean that feedback requires 60 votes before our Product Team considers it - though it helps to show how popular the idea is. If the team sees an idea, sees the value, and has room on their roadmap, they may begin to investigate and develop it regardless of votes. It also can't guarantee that each idea that has more than 60 votes is going to be investigated and launched, unfortunately.
That being said, we'll be sure to let you know of any updates in relation to this request.
Please implement the automatic roll-up to the parent task start and end dates! 😇
Welcome to the Community and thank you for supporting this suggestion Jill Bucinell, please be sure to upvote the original post if you haven't yet🙌🏼
Please add the ability to role up start and end dates. This is a standard feature in most project management apps. If there is a reason Wrike does not agree with this feature, please let us know your reasoning. Thanx.
Also, the Manual Roll Up feature seems as if it only works based on VISIBLE subtasks... which I think is a mistake. It should work based on ALL subtasks.
Thank you for your continued feedback here, folks. We will let you know if there are any updates here in the future. For now, please don't forget to upvote the original post here if you haven't yet as the vote count helps our team gauge the popularity for different ideas shared.

I am a season MS Project user now using Wrike. I have been scouring the site for a solution to the subtask roll up that will update the dates and the durations on all tasks. As I have seen, only the top line task rolls up like this (see below, Line 1).
In the sample below, Line 3, I added the dependencies to get a roll up. If I take them out, I get nothing. But the duration remains the same unless I manually change it (which is not what I want to calculate). Am I missing something? Any tricks to share? Thank you much!

Lisa It looks like the Wrike Lab offered up a version to try out. So far so good. Exactly what I needed!
Amy DiRuzza Lisa Too bad we can't set it to automatically roll up when dates change! IT's still a manual process to initiate the roll up.
I'm asking everyone to upvote this post! Auto-updates are much needed! Without them, parent tasks with subtasks not very useful.
Thanks for letting us know Amy DiRuzza! Great to hear 😊
Timothy Livingston, thanks for sharing your input also, we've passed this on to the team and will let you know if we have any updates to share in relation to this 👍
