How do I turn off updates of the desktop app?

I want to turn off the regular updates of the desktop app, but I don't remember how to do this, and can't find it in your help pages.

I had it on my old laptop, but now I have a new laptop.

Our software is updated periodically by our central It system. Every time it tries to auto-update it fails because I don't have admin rights to my computer. It is a pain getting the update reminders and selecting "Later" every time.

Welcome to the Community!

You can disable the auto-updates for the desktop app by following these instructions:

On Mac

  1. Click "Wrike" in the upper left corner of your desktop and select "Preferences".​
  2. Uncheck the box next to "​Check for updates automatically"​​

On Windows:

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the upper left corner of the app and select "File" then "Preferences".​
  2. Uncheck the box next to "​Check for updates automatically"​​​
