Field order in list view

When I reorder my field columns in table view, how do I update the list view to reflect the same fields and order? I was hoping it would be a simple drag & drop of the field 'buttons' on list view, but no luck.

I prefer working in list view, but the field order is such a jumbled mix of dates and names that it can be confusing, and I've got to believe there's a way to standardize fields between those two views. Any ideas or suggestions?

Thank you!

Hi Susan Richardson!

Currently, custom fields are sorted alphanumerically when you open a task from the List View. One workaround for this would be to add a number to the custom fields' name in the order you would like them to appear. This way, the fields would be uniform across the Table View and the List View.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, be sure to let me know.

Hi Hugh,

Here's what my custom fields currently look like, and I don't see anything alphanumeric about the order. What am I not seeing?

Thanks!

Susan

Hey Susan Richardson,

Thank you for sharing your screenshot! There was recently an update for Custom Fields that is being rolled out in phases to different Wrike users, and it appears as though your account is yet to be updated. You should see these updates soon though, and then the fields will appear alphanumerically. You can read more about it in this announcement post.

I would recommend adding the numbers in so as to be prepared for the update. This will make the orders uniform across the view once the update is rolled out to you.

If you have any other questions, be sure to let me know!
