Task Following Disallowed?

This morning, my team quickly discovered that the Follow/Unfollow button on a task no longer allows you to manually add followers to the task. Is this a deliberate change? We use this feature to notify supervisors when tasks are completed, so it's an important part of how we use Wrike. I don't see any announcement of a change though - can anyone clarify what's happening here?

We have noticed this change too, and we have not been warned about it. It is vital for us to be able to involve more people in this way. Who creates the task must be able to decide the followers of the task !!!!
 
How can this be solved?
 
I hope it doesn't become a situation like "my work" ...

Lisa @... any comment on this? was this change intended or should I file a bug report? there is no mention of this change anywhere that I can find, and it's really messing with our traditional way of using Wrike

Same here, no longer have the ability to add/remove followers. Can someone at Wrike get this addressed ASAP? Thank you

Apparently this feature has been intentionally turned off in Wrike without any mention. Confirmed with Live Rep
