[Status: Not planned] Rights Management: Manage user rights on a task base
Hi all,
After speaking with the wrike team, it appear that it is not possible to assign rights on a task base. It woould be pretty nice to be able to assign rights to a person only for a certain task. It would allow to work on some task without having to share the entire project with unrealevant people.
In addition to that, it would also be nice to be able to set the default rights when doing some action (by example, if you mention someone on a task, you could set the default rights to be "Limited" on the task).
What do you think about it? Would it be possible to add these functionalities?
Best Regards,
This would be great for those of us with multiple teams using Wrike across an organization such as ours.
Hey guys, thanks for the idea and also for commenting here 🙂
There's the Selective Sharing feature available on Enterprise accounts, it helps with the sharing on folder/subfolder and project/subproject level. More info about it is on our Help Center and in this Community post. With this feature, you can give certain people only subroject access, for example, and not share the main project with them. Please check it out, might be helpful 👍
I'll be happy to discuss if you have any questions

Quick update: I've added "Backburner" status here, which means that our Product team is interested and the feature might be considered in the future. I'll get back to you here when I have another update 🙌

This is a standard feature in teamwork.com / being able to control visibility or sharing at a task level. It's really time consuming to set up sub-folders for just those projects that you wish to hide from the client or share with the client. If you have 5 sequential tasks, but only 2 should be viewable or relevant to the client - seems sort of counterproductive to have to move those to an entirely different folder.
Hi everyone, a quick update here - our Product team has looked into this request and have come to the conclusion that it would not be possible at this time. For that reason I'm changing the status to "not planned". This does not mean that it won't ever be implemented however! It is possible that they will return to this request at a later date, but for now, it is not currently on the roadmap.
