Desktop App: Login with (existing) browser session
After installing the Desktop App the user has to authenticate with Wrike even though he might already be logged in with his (default) browser. It would be nice to have the possitiblity (e.g. with a button) that logs the user in with an existing session.
The flow would be like this:
Native App -> Log in with browser -> default browser opens -> if logged in -> redirect to app
if not logged -> log in dialog -> redirect to app
The "redirect to app" can be done with a custom protocol (e.g. wrike://). By default the browser will open a dialog like "Open this link in Wrike".
If you add this feature it would be nice if you also allow custom protocols for OAuth-Redirect-URLs, this would allow third-party-applications to read existing sessions from the browser by the following workflow:
App navigate to /authenticate, with redirect url set to "myapp://..." -> login with browser, same as above -> redirect to "myapp://..."
This is currently not possible because only http(s) is allowed. An example where such redirect-urls are allowed is here: https://developers.google.com/identity/protocols/OAuth2InstalledApp#step-2-send-a-request-to-googles-oauth-20-server
