[Status: Not planned] Implementation of weekly status update/to do emails and admin controls
Two thoughts on email capacity in Wrike:
1) It is a little overkill to have daily status updates and to do lists sent to all the members of the team for the project we are working on. I would suggest that an option is made to allow for one to-do/status update be sent on specific days of the week. For our team, for example, I think it would be most helpful to have messages sent out every Monday and maybe Wednesday, at 8 am. Our project moves much slower
2) Also, if I am overhauling the schedule because of an unforeseen obstacle, it's annoying for team members to receive a notification of every change I make and clogs their inboxes. Could changes be summarized in one end-of-the-day email? It would be great if there was a way for the administrator to simply turn email on or off as they made sweeping changes.
This would be a great option to have.
To go along with your second suggestion, I'd like the ability to turn on a planning mode like the Blueprints feature in Wrike Labs to turn off notifications on a folder entirely. It would differ from the Blueprints feature in that it would be available as an option in the normal folder tree instead of creating a new tree.
YES!
So its either I stay late and make changes when I know people are not working or just deal with the blow back of notifying every one. I wish there was a way for admins to delay notifications until the changes are all made during a sweep and just have them identified as an admin change or something.
We don't use this feature - because it's overkill, but we might if there was more flexibility in the options. I like the idea of switching off notifications for folders too.
Hey guys, thanks a lot for your input here.
At the moment, the suggested enhancements are not planned; I'll get back to you if that ever changes.
Thank you again for posting 🙌
