Vacation Days in the Workspaceย
- If you reschedule a task on the Gantt Chart, you'll see the assignee's days off greyed out if you try to schedule the task for that time.ย
- Is there more? Definitely. Click on a user's name in the Workspace - if they have vacationย days scheduled within the next 7 days, you'll see them listed.
Hi Stephanie, I hope you're having a great day!
I'm really excited to start using the new customisation for access roles. However before I get started, a quick question.
Could you provide any more detail on "Sometimes you couldn't do what you were supposed to based on your Access Role. Now you can.ย "
I have a feeling this is in reference to when someone had editor or greater access rights in one folder but limit access rights in another folder. Then when trying to edit a task which was in both folders (which they were shared into). Wrike would only allow them the lowest level of access they had for those folders (e.g. they couldn't tag the task in a new location).
I have no idea if that makes any sense ahah but all the same I'd love some more detail.
Thanks in advance and looking forward to hearing from you

Stinks that Access Roles aren't available on Business accounts.ย Seems like this is a pretty basic feature. ๐
Hi Angi,
Access Roles are available on business accounts. It's just the customizing of them which is enterprise only.
ย
"Folder and Project Access Roles are available on Business and Enterprise accounts. Customizing Access Roles is available on Enterprise accounts."
(Wrike Help portalย >Tasks, Folders, and Projects > Folders and Projects > Access Roles - also linked to by Stephanie above).

You need to turn the feature on in Wrike labs.
George that was my point.ย That is the purpose of this feature update.ย To notify us of the enhancements to Access Roles (which have existed for quite some time) to a feature update of customization, which is only available to Enterprise accounts, which stinks because the ability to control user account access is a pretty standard project management feature.ย It isn't an advanced, sharable reporting feature, or an advanced self-building API feature.ย This is something that is really very common in project management software at all levels of service.
Agreed Angiย
This is one area of Wrike that I find quite limiting.
My apologies Angi, I interpreted your message as you not being aware that access roles were potentially available to your account.
Similarly to you I hope the customisation feature is rolled out to more types of account, however if this happens I imagine it will be the ability to customise the default four access roles and not implement additional roles.

No worries George. I would just like to see the features align more to that of some of the other top programs out there and how they align their services. I just feel like sometimes the things considered enhancements or upgrades are really just standard parts of the product.ย Like account security and control.ย Enhancements/upgrades are things like advanced reporting packages, expandables gannt charts features, advanced collaborator/external user features, interface collaborations, etc.ย And only some of those because you have to remain competitive and can't nickel/dime your customers to death when competitors offer it free, which is a growing concern in this space.
