What is the best way to represent a Code Freeze on the Calendar? 

a code freeze is not really a task, it's more of a reminder or event for everyone to see. Also, when i create a task and add recurrence on in, the recurring tasks do not show on the calendar. is it possible to show them? 

 

For Example, i created Code Freeze to show on the calendar every Friday.

I think that creating a task is a good way to represent a Code Freeze reminder on a Calendar 👍
When making your Code Freeze task recurrent, you can create up to 60 tasks upfront - that way they will be shown on the Calendar https://www.screencast.com/t/5VGdXJQDxwQc. After that, go to Calendars, create a new Smart Calendar based on tasks https://www.screencast.com/t/qm3kW7HbK (or edit an existing task-based Smart Calendar), add a Folder/Project with your Code Freeze tasks - the recurrent tasks you created upfront will be shown on the Calendar.
