Constraining a task date to facilitate the Gantt chart view

Hi all,

I'm wondering if there's a way to add date constraints to tasks without having to move the task.  I'd like to include dependencies in the Gantt chart, but also have the ability to prevent all tasks from being automatically pushed forward if I move help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/209604249-Date-Constraints-on-the-Gantt-Chartof the preceding tasks forward.  With such a feature, I'd be able to see if my dependencies are broken, rather than having Wrike fix them automatically without my knowledge.  Any thoughts?

Hi Andrei, there's no direct way to do this as the tasks will shift to align with the constraint. As a workaround, you can set the Status to a 'backlog' Status. This might work for your process. It won't force the task to move even if there's broken dependency relationship.

Give it a go and let me know we're on the right track. Happy to continue discussing.
