Project release planning dashboard
Is there a dashboard template that shows all active project by Planned Start Date and Planned end date on a Calendar background as Gantts for each project?

You can set up a dashboard widget for projects, use the filters to only show active projects, and sort them either by start or by finish date (you can create two separate widgets for that):
