Changing destination folder in request forms
回答済みHi there,
I've got some request forms with dropdown options and I need to change the destination folder when certain responses are selected.
Is this possible? All I am able to do, seemingly, is duplicate the project to another folder. Thanks for any help.

Hi Stuart, I hope I fully understand your question here 😇
If you edit the Request form and hover over the drop-down options, you'll see the redirect arrows. Click this and it allows you to redirect the answers to parent Folders.
Does this help?
Hi Stephen,
Cheers., you got it.
OK, when I tried that it added the project to the new folder and the folder specified under "When user submits form". I'm guessing that I can leave that option blank and it will just redirect the answers to the parent folders I specify...
I'll give it a shot anyway!
Cheers,
Stuart
Hi Stuart,
I think it is important to note that you are not duplicating the task, the task just exists in two different folders. Think of folders as windows. You can look into one window and see the task but I can look in a totally different window and see the exact same task. Basically like a filter. When creating or editing your request form there are 3 options, 1 Create, 2. Place Task into and 3 Assign task to. In 2, you can leave this blank assigning the new task to no folder.
Please note, that if you do this and there is no condition to add a folder tag from your drop-down list, then the task will not appear in any folder and will be sent to the island of forgotten tasks. You will want to check and double check to make sure that every option in your drop-down list will put the task in a folder to be seen by someone when the task is created.
This should solve your issue of the task appearing in two different folders.

Hi Ryan,
Blinding, thank you, this makes perfect sense. I thought the "Place task into" option had to be selected, hence my duplication into another "window".
Many thanks, very helpful. 👍
Cheers,
Stuart
Glad I could help. Happy Wriking.
