Request Form - Creating URL in description fields

It would be great to have simple HTML functionality in the request form descriptions, such as being able to add a hyperlink to other pages. The use case is in referencing another external form and also linking out to documentation about the application I am running.

Agreed - this would a great addition for forms that require users to have access to Ts&Cs etc. Form submission issues could be avoided if we could link to supporting documents.

Maybe you could integrate a third-party form builder like SurveyGizmo, so that forms can be usable and have more branching ability.

Thank you for reaching out Christine Smith! Unfortunately, I don't have one currently, but I'll let you know if I do in the future!

I'd like to be able to paste a link to an internal request form in a task. I can see how to get the link if the request form is external - but how do I find the url of internal forms?

Hello Maurice Webster, welcome to the Community 👋🏻

Please click on Request from your Workspace, not from your Account Management.

You will have a list of Request Forms, that you've access to/created. From the list, open the form you'd like to copy the link of and use that URL for pasting in a task. The URL should end with numbers i.e. formid=9999.

Please let me know if this helps 🙋🏻‍♀️

Hi, I'm adding onto this thread for more visibility. It's crazy to me to think that in HTML formatting, we do not currently have this capability within the Request Forms. It's pretty difficult to have anyone answer their own questions about one of the questions in the Request form if they can't simply click on a hyperlink. It messes with the formatting a lot and makes question descriptions much longer than they need to be. I've built a few Request Forms now and they become very jumbled and, to be honest, ugly with this many long links. Would love to see this capability added!

Plus one to this! Would make form submissions MUCH less error prone if we could easily link to how-to or other resources in the description. Please add this functionality!

Yep, add me as well, having a short Link to a sort of "How to?" will be really helpful

support this too, I've placed a path in the description, which will work but isn't ideal.

Hi folks, could you please let me know if the recent addition of clickable links in request forms helps for your use cases?

Hi Lisa while the clickable links in request forms are a great addition some website links are very long so it looks very messy. Having the ability to hyperlink text within request forms would be ideal.

+1 to Amy Hunter.  Clickable links, only, introduce parsing burden and mental mapping issues for user--the links can be both quite long and messy at times, and introduces potential confusion when changes are made (e.g., links to updated documents that generate new links rather than updates to permalinks).  Would love to see hyperlinks, and was shocked to find this wasn't already supported!
