Desktop Notifications for Desktop Software
Hi - I am bummed to learn that notifications are only available if you are using Wrike in a browser interface, as I have downloaded the desktop software and intend to have my team do as well. Has there been any interest / work done to have notifications enabled in the desktop software as well? I would love to get this feature added!

Lisa could you please publicly add the solution to get rid of the "Background Items Added"? I think many of us have this issue.
I'd be happy if support contacts me, but it would make more sense to publicly post the solution so they don't need to handle the issue one-on-one.

This can be happening because of different reasons, and the first step our Support team is recommending is uninstalling the desktop app. I'll ask our team to contact you 👍

Is there still no solution for this? I thought I used to see a red dot appear on the Wrike icon on the task bar when I had Wrike notifications, but that has not been the case for a while.

Is this resolved? We have a user who is having the same issues with Wrike Alerts (which are not supposed to disappear until clicked on) disappearing after a few moments. If there is a fix, please advise. If not, and this problem has been pending since 2018, then we have a problem.

While this issue was resolved for me in Windows
could you please explain why nobody from the support team has posted any solution here? People have been coming to this thread for 6 years for answers, and from a user's perspective, it is frustrating to see that this issue appears unresolved after reading through a long list of, "the support team will reach out to you." The solution to this issue is, generally, simple enough for many users to justify posting some probable solutions. I would bet that most of the users that end up on this forum realize that it's probably a setting that we can't find and are searching for a quick answer. In the interest of respecting our time, and yours, it seems that posting a solution is the correct path here. If, for some reason, y'all are encouraged not to post solutions here, some transparency into that decision process would be helpful in reducing our frustration.
Having said that, please know that you and the support team's continued efforts to help users resolve their issues are greatly appreciated. I hope y'all have a great day, and I apologize for the passive-aggressive bullet points.

John McGreeveye Thank you for that, unfortunately our company is 98% Macs so the Windows settings are not relevant to us... the same settings are ineffective on Macs, despite that they *should* work, they don't. According to the support ticket that was opened for me, the support tech says their engineers have been aware of the problem (for a long time, judging by this thread) but... well, here's what they wrote: "We received reports from other users about the behavior that Wrike Desktop alerts do not always stay in the Notifications Center on macOS. Our engineers are aware of this, but the team has a few other, more pressing cases on their table, and currently, the case is backlogged, meaning that we will get back to it at some point but there is no ETA at the moment." They later reiterated "the investigation was put on hold".
Clearly Mac users are enough of a minority that the company has decided it's not worth spending the resources to fix the issue, going on 6 years.
This, and some other issues, have made it pretty clear to me that Wrike has decided customer support will be prioritized onto towards issues that affect their largest and most profitable customers, and smaller fish just don't matter enough to bother with.
