Dependencies - Need option to limit task search to current project/folder
When assigning a dependency to a task, using the Search Tasks feature which is presented when you click the Add button, it would be very helpful if we could limit the search scope to the project/folder that you are currently working in. It seems to do a global search which isn't very helpful if you are doing a partial name lookup or task names have been reused.
I think a breadcrumb would be a good solution to this.
We need some way of distinguishing between other tasks that may have the same name. For example, my team set milestones in each project as the month that work needs to be carried out, and then subtasks underneath that for all work that needs to be completed in that month. Some tasks may occur in several months (or indeed across several different projects) which means that when you come to set a dependency, it's a complete gamble that you're selecting the task nested within the correct month/milestone. Select the wrong one, and it gets autoscheduled which means you have to go and change it. It's a pain.
I notice that if you set dependencies between milestones it displays a breadcrumb of the parent projects/folders - extending this functionality to tasks and subtasks would negate the above issue!
I also would like the ability to lock a dependency search to just the current Project or Folder. Our projects are very repetitive so many tasks have the same name. It would be helpful if that could be limited maybe using a lock feature so if needed you can still create dependencies across projects if needed.
Same here! All of our tasks are made from templates with the same name. Even just setting a sort by Parent hierarchy would be so much better. Please add this feature.
