[ From Wrike] Datahub is Live in Wrike Labs! ๐
ๅบๅฎใใใๆ็จฟ ๆณจ็ฎใฎๆ็จฟHi Community ๐
We have very exciting news for you!ย
Starting today, admins on Enterprise Pinnacle accounts can enable Datahub in Wrike Labs ๐
What is Datahub?ย
Datahub helps you connect your data stored outside of Wrike with Wrike projects and tasks. You can connect your data sources through API or manually, and what youโll get is custom fields that are dynamically updated when you make changes in your data stored in Datahub.ย
Hereโs What Datahub Helps You With:
- Portions of work happen outside of Wrike: you have to toggle between platforms to work with data. Cross functional reporting is difficult with siloed data. Datahub helps you connect your data with your work.
- Lack of a single view: no way to create relations between fields & itโs difficult to operate your data. Datahub brings them together into one view.
- Managing changes in bulk is challenging: it takes a lot of effort level to bulk provision changes which leads to delays & inefficiencies. Our new tool makes data and teams aligned.
Popular Use Cases
โ Actionable Data for all users : Datahub table enables all users within the account to work off real-time data. It makes it easier to collect, organize, analyze, and distribute your data throughout its touchpoints in Wrike.
๐ข Managing Client Service Delivery: Create tables housing all of the data you have for your clients, from brands, sub-products, to locations and everything you need to deliver client value.ย Leverage this data to power automations and report progress back to your clients with reporting and dashboards.
๐งโ๐ป Operations Management: Centralize product information from SKU names, numbers to code names. Align a single source of information and power your work in Wrike to track inventory and streamline operations.ย
How to Get Started
1) You can find Datahub by clicking on your Profile picture menu - it will be opened in a separate window. You can start creating your Datahub tables for different types of data, adding fields and records. You can also import existing csv files, or connect Datahub to an external data management system via the API.
2) To connect the data from Datahub with Wrike, you can create a new Link to Datahub field in Table view and it can then be viewed in Datahub. When creating the field, youโll be able to name it just like any regular field and choose the Datahub table with which you want to connect these fields. You can also add fields to mirror, bringing attributes from the Datahub directly to Wrike as separate custom fields. The mirror fields can be utilized across Wrike - in different views, filters, reports, dashboards, automation rules, or calculations.ย
Weโre Testing!
Our Datahub development team invites you to provide your feedback! We would like to elaborate on it on the go. Youโll be able to share your feedback with your Wrike Account team or here in the Community thread ๐
The team deploys enhancements and new features weekly, so you can expect changes in theย user experience & user interface, as well as additional features coming in frequently.
Whatโs Nextย
At the moment, weโre gathering your feedback and continue to add new features. Enterprise Pinnacle accounts can use Datahub for free by enabling it in Wrike Labs. In the future, once both our users and our development team are happy with the feature, it will become a paid add-on. More information on this to follow.
Weโre thrilled for you to start using Datahub and we canโt wait for your feedback and questions! Please let us know what you think in the comments below ๐

Hi! We have a pinnacle account of which I am the owner, but I'm not seeing the option to enable this in Wrike labs. What am I missing? Super excited to test this out!
Never mind. It just wasn't up yet. It's there now!
I'm only seeing options to manually enter data or import a CSV. How do you connect to a data source? Or is that not live yet?
I understand there's a warning about not hosting confidential information in Datahub until it is officially released, but I am surprised to see that even Collaborators can fully access the functionality and data. That makes it unusable for us to test while it's in Labs since we have clients with Collaborator accounts and there's nothing we could test with that we'd feel comfortable with them seeing.ย
Is it possible that Collaborator access could be blocked during the Labs period?ย
I'm excited Datahub is ready for testing!
I wish this was available to more plans than just Pinnacle.ย
Super Excited to try this out.ย Hopefully Data filled custom fields and Data Links in Custom Items types are in the works.
After testing out Data Hub for a bit, I wonder if there is a dev roadmap we can see?ย There is a lot missing from the demo I saw, so it would be good to know what is in the works going up to final release.
I too would be very interested in a roadmap of some sort. Knowing what is planned, possible, and potential for the add-in will determine it ultimate value for our organization.
Hi folks, we appreciate your feedback, thank you for sharing it! ๐ค
Nathan Jones We have API to connect to data sources. In the future we are also hoping to have low code solution with Wrike Integrate.
Jacob Bodnar Thank you for the feedback! It makes total sense, and we our team is planning to address it in a couple of months.
In the meantime if you would like to already start testing, we can suggest a manual workaround for you. We can enable Datahub for the specific users in your account, if you provide us with the emails of the users. Please let me know if that could work for you, and I'll reach out to you about this by email.ย
Russell Sprague Aaron Higgins I've shared your interest in the roadmap with the responsible team and I'll keep you posted if we're able to provide it ๐

Thanks Lisa! Am I able to leverage the API as well? Through the dev options (https://developers.wrike.com)? Or can I only use a CSV import for now?
Lisa Thanks for that solution. To confirm, the specific users provided would be the only ones with access to the Datahub section in Wrike, but any user with appropriate permission could see the values of a custom field linked to datahub, is that accurate? If so, then yes I'd like to get that setup. Thanks!ย
This is very interesting! I have to check if our Install team can use this solution!
It's a little confusing how new fields getting named/mapped.
If I want my field to map to a DataHub item's first column (primary value), I can't specify it. I just pick the table. It's only if I want to select other columns in that table than the first one, it is going to show me them as options. Therefore if I select the linked column that is not the first one, DataHub does pick up the name of that field and automatically updates the name of the field I am creating in my Wrike project. However if I pick the table with the intent to link to its first column, it's not going to automatically reuse the name of that field and apply it to my newly created field in Wrike. I feel like it would be better if it was consistent and explicitly showed me all columns in the table I'm trying to link and if I choose the primary column, then automatically pick up its name (which I can overwrite if needed). It would also help when I'm linking to the field which is not primary and Wrike automatically adds a primary field too that drives what is going to show up in the non-primary field, but the non-primary field gets a proper name and the primary one doesn't, and it's confusing for the end user why did it show up and what is it for.
Potential game changer! Suggestion : Linked Custom fields should appear when building a Request form with a Single Answer question. Ex. choosing the Client from the Clients table when creating a project from a form.
I have the same suggestion as Samuel. It is important to apply this to the forms. Thank you
Lisa I'm very familiar with Wrike's API. However, I don't see anything new regarding datahub in Develop your own integration on the Wrike API. What's exactly the API methods that you are referring to that allow Datahub to connect to other data sources? Can I edit Datahub tables through the API?
Hi everyone, thanks a lot for your comments and feedback ๐ค Our team is keeping a close eye here ๐
Jacob Bodnar Yes, that's correct! I've sent you an email ๐
Nathan Jones Guillermo Guinto I've sent you both documentation by email, I hope that's helpful ๐

Thanks Lisa for the update
Hi.ย Has there been any thoughts around providing a "front end" Request Form that is able to populate Datahub table entries?ย Thinking of a write-through approach - the submitted form sets the Datahub field which in turn is reflected in a work item's custom field.ย Thanks.
Fred Lunau That is the workflow I am waiting for.ย Hopefully is comes soon.
Fred Lunau I've shared your comment with the Datahub team ๐
