Custom field option deleted, will it be removed from tasks?
Will anything bad happen if a Single select option from a custom field is removed? For example, if any task has that option selected will remain in the task or be blank?

Crystal Fugate In my experience, the option will remain in existing tasks, but not be available for selection in any new tasks.
We have run into this a lot, it will remain in the task and will be show in gray as ["Internal"]. I took a screenshot to show you what it looks like. You can see it on the first line in the screenshot. I do wish I could run an automation or something to automatically adjust old ones - it's actually super annoying because you can't search by that item anymore and it won't show up when you filter either (if you filter by the custom field selections). I end up manually adjusting them which isn't terrible with the mass editing tool in table view - but I would prefer an easier way.
Thank you! I did remove the single select option and it worked out. Except - any automation that was tied to the custom field broke. Note for the future: edit all automations before removing an option.
