Auto generate task due date from request form
Hi Community!
I'm building a request form for one of our teams. Is there a way to auto generate a task due date upon submission of the form? The form asks the requester to select their required completion date and my team would like to link this date to the due date of the task which is created upon submission of the form. I've played around a bit but I couldn't seem to find a way to do this. Unless I missed something?
Hi Amy, if you have added a date-type question to your request form, you can configure the usage right underneath this question from "Description" to "due date".

Hi Florian Kislich of course! thank you. I think I was getting confused between when projects are created upon submission as opposed to just a task being created. Since if it was a project being created it would link to the due date of the project and not a particular task. Thanks for your help :)
Hello Florian Kislich till today is there a way we can set a start or due date in a task of a blueprint from a request form?
Hi CHEMENI Collins, welcome to the forums 👋
It's possible if you choose the option to "Reschedule around" when building your request form.
If your form’s Response settings are set to create tasks or projects from existing tasks, projects, or blueprints, then you can use Reschedule around to reschedule the original item’s start or due dates according to the answer to the last start- or due-date question in this form.
To keep dates identical to those in the original item, select Don’t reschedule dates.
