Make email addresses clickable in Custom Fields
Clickable Links in Custom Fields is a great new feature!
One small thing though. Wrike doesn't translate e-mail entries correctly. Are you aware of this? For example dennis@wrike.com. Only the part after the @-sign 'wrike.com' will behave as a link and it points to wrike.com. It would be even better if Wrike translates e-mail entries to a mailto link.
Keep up the good work! 💪
Thank you for creating a separate post for this suggestion Dennis Pronk 🙌

I'm w/ Dennis on this one. I have an email address in a custom field associated with each brand but clicking on the email only takes me to the domain instead of the email.
+1 from me
Oh my goodness. Lol! Huge miss in the QA process. Apparently, it took a while to make links clickable and it's great that it is available. But how it got through testing and into production with the email address bug is kind of crazy. Ideally you would want to be able to open a mail client and send an email, but I would rather it not function as a link at all than have this functionality. First, it's distracting. Second, if you were to copy the field to paste into an email client, 50% of the time you will activate the link and go to the web domain, just killing your workflow. I'm sure that this can be corrected by Wrike more quickly than the original functionality was released, since it's a clearly a bug and not a feature. The "mailto:recipient@example.com" works in comment boxes and description field - I suppose because the rich text provides more functions?
We appreciate your feedback Andrew Cornell, and we'll now pass it on to the respective team 👍
