Duplicating Tasks

This is a minor detail but one that has bothered me for a while...I use the duplication function to move stand-up meeting notes forward from the previous day. Ideally, when you duplicate a task, it would default to one you just created, not stay on the one you created from. Mentally, I assume I'm on the new one after I'm made a duplicate and start adding notes to the task to then realize I'm still in the previous day. Then I have to then mess around with the names of the tasks (switch one day to another but fake it with an extra digit since they can't be the same date, etc etc) to avoid undoing all of the notes or cutting and pasting them to the latest task. Like I said, it may be a nit picky detail but since it's happened several times I thought maybe someone else has encountered this as well. Thanks!
