We would also love the option to turn off the automated numbering of reoccurring events.

Hi Michael, welcome to the forums :) Recurring tasks is something the team is definitely thinking about (and they want to improve the experience). The Product Manager for this feature actually just updated a related thread, improve how recurring tasks work. If you look at the second post in that thread you'll see his comment. If you could leave a comment there regarding the automated numbering, that would be fantastic.

I agree with this one. It'd be great if the automated numbering could be customized in some way. We have standard work tasks that occur weekly. Automatic addition of the date would make much more sense than a number. Example: Standard Work : Content Orders : Week of 6/19/17 when made a recurrence would auto date to the upcoming weeks. Currently it's a manual process of changing those dates and removing the auto-numbering or duplicating the task each week.

I concur with original poster. Once a recurring task is completed, I would like to add information in the next instance of the reoccurence.
