[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Request Form - autosave?

Request form – If a person is filling out a form and then they close the browser by accident before hitting submit does the form autosave somewhere?  Also is there a way to save your request forms? I have many marketing managers asking me this because they tend to fill our pieces of the form sporadically.

I also think this would be a great feature so that people can gather information and fill it out as they go, not all at once.

Hi Rebecca and Danielle, thanks for sharing this idea here! While it's possible to save drafts of the actual Request Form, it isn't currently possible to save the data while filling one out. I think this would be useful, and I'll direct users interested in this functionality to your post so they could vote for it too.

I think this one would be a great addition! We find all the time that different users enter different parts of a brief at different times or users get called into meetings last minute and can't finish the brief they are working on.

I am getting a lot of requests from my Account Team to have the ability to stop in the middle of filling out a request form by saving it to draft, then coming back later when they have more time or details for the project. To the best of my knowledge this isn't yet a feature, correct?

We definitely need a draft mode so that we can come back to editing should we have to leave the current screen.

Yes, please! I request projects in Wrike several times per week and while I try to have all of the project requirements available when filling out the request it's not always the case. Other project management programs I've used in the past have allowed me to save projects in draft mode allowing me to come back and complete the project request at a later time.

Having the ability to save a draft before submitting a new request would be a big help. Today we have to either be ready to enter and submit the request in one sitting or create a draft in Word and then redo it it Wrike once we have all information put together.

We were just doing champion training this morning and learning how to create forms when suddenly a colleague of mine clicked over the sidebar and lost her entire form. Autosave while building out the forms would be a great feature to add as a safeguard!

agree with everyone there. a lot of people are put off by the form because they might realise halfway through that they don't have all the information and everything they entered in it will be lost - some of them would then just click randomly to have the form sent out, even if incomplete. If we could have an auto-save mode in the form section that would be fantastic!

Hi everyone! Wanted to quickly mention that I really appreciate all the comments here (and we read through all of them), thanks for keeping this request active!

Definitely need this feature.  our internet cut out for a second during a Wrike training session and everybody who had been practicing enteriing data into and submitting a request form lost all their info and had to start again.  please add and edit and save option quickly!

Just bringing this one back up! We had a similar thing, where a users browser crashed and had to restart and she had to start again with all of her information.

Yes, "save as draft" for forms is an important feature to add please.

We have many processes that call for a user to open a form , then perform some research and come to finish the form , without the ability to save as draft  we are not able to do what we need to do using Wrike forms.

This is a greatly needed feature ASAP, especially as our forms have multiple pages with a lot of detail: if they require more than one deliverable as part of their job they are filling out multiple pages with uploads and details... this might be up to 10 pages of work... and it is devastating if a user loses their work part-way through.

The 'save as draft' function is number 1 requested feature here in our team. It is unrealistic to expect people to be able to enter all info at once, and it is a roadblock in user adoption.

We have numerous external forms i would like to create and definitely need the ability for the submitter to save and come back to it.

All, This was a big request from my team as well. The workaround that I have in place is to quickly fill out the form with "TBD" on every field that I can't complete at that time. Then publish the Project into a new folder named "Draft". At the project owners convenience, then can go back and replace all "TBD's" to unfinished content requests in the appropriate fields.

Short term workaround. Ideally, Wrike will develop a save as Draft feature.

Hi all. My name is Evgeny and I'm a member of the developer's team that develops Request forms. I have a question: is it a common case that same request is filled by several people? For example, I fill one question, then pass it to another member of the team, and so on.

@Evgeny that is not common for us, but I can imagine it being useful in certain circumstances.

For example, when a client has a job request and they do not know how to answer a specific question but they know who can, if they could assign that question to another person to answer and then submit it may be helpful. But to answer your question, that is not a required functionality for us.

Evgeny Gusev - In our case one person starts a form, stops to take action or research and comes back to complete the form

they then hand the form off to a supervisor so it can be reviewed / approved and the supervisor hands it back to the original person for completion.

So, two people may be working on the same form yes.

Thank you

Coreen Raterman

@Evgeny, not something I thought about so far but it could be useful in case some parts of the form require someone's elses approval, in which case it would be extremely helpful.

I would definitely find it useful if my stakeholders could partially complete a forma and save it for later. An autosave function would be really great too.

This would definitely be a good feature to have. I have a form to fill, with a lot of details known and unknown to start with. Having those known filled in with save/ autosave option will help my audience/ stakeholder to come back and fill the unknown later.

Another supporter of this comment/feature. We have quite an extensive campaign request form, therefore having either auto-save or the ability to save & return at a later date would be extremely valuable. Thank you

I up- voted - really could use this in the Creative Marketing world.  Any movement on this?

Great idea - our clients find it frustrating if they're halfway through an extensive request and have to run to a meeting and lose all their progress. I'd love to see this feature developed.

Excellent Suggestion Rebecca!

Please vote for the ability to set file upload parameters too :)

Has this feature been implemented yet? Some of our requests must be approved before being submitted and the ability to save them would make this very easy. There are also times when requests can be started, but not all of the information is available. Being able to save at this point would be great and super helpful.

Any updates would be appreciated!

We have just signed up to Wrike and without the 'save as draft' functionality for request forms we can not offer to clients as a method of requesting work - nor can I ask our team to use this function without a save as draft. Please advise if this is on the roadmap?
