[Status: Launched! ๐] Timeline View for iOS Apps
ย My senior management spend a lot of time travelling and an iPhone or iPad app is ideal for them to quickly get oversight of a project. Unfortunately for whatever reason, the iOS app doesn't seem to have the depth of functionality of the Android app at present and has no option for a timeline view. This would be great for them to quickly see at what stage the project is at and when it is forecasted to end. Currently the iOS app only really has it's use as a collaborator tool and not as a management tool, which is missing a huge demographic. Please integrate this feature as soon as possible!
I cannot echo the need for improvement to the ios app enough. ย I am one of 2 people using android out of the many more on Wrike in our company. ย iPhone's are way more popular... ย But, everyone is beyond jealous I can do request forms from my app....
ย
Please get some consistency across the app platforms. ย It is so essential!!!
Hi @Dave and @Ivan, I completely understand your feedback. While Android is more popular globally, the team is actively working on updates to both the iOS and Android apps (so Ivan, your coworkers will get improvements, but so will you). We'll direct people here if someone has the same request and if you want to +1 the feedback to have Requests on iOS that would help show support for that ask.ย

Timeline View in Mobile iOS
Please give us the Timeline view in mobile iOS apps!
As Wrike supports more traditional project teams, the timeline view in the mobile iOS app should be a priority. However, it's not on the roadmap due to "lack of use on the Android". Gantt charts are a critical visual for project managers and senior leaders. Being able to access them on the go seems like a basic request. The need is compounded by the fact that when using a mobile device, Wrike.com forces users to the mobile app which prevents even workarounds to view the timeline.
Other comments on that string are below:

I second the need for timeline in the mobile iOS app. Gantt charts are a clear and concise way to view project deliverables, tasks, and timeline in a live environment. Viewing timeline in meetings or on-the-go is a critical component of the system for both project managers and leads. I am surprised an iOS app timeline view is not available, as iOS products are increasingly popular in the business world.

I use my iPad exclusively when I attend meetings and am away from my desk. The ability to see Gantt charts on my iPad would substantially improve the relevance of Wrike for me. While I do access Wrike frequently from my desk where I am using a PC, I frequently need to access the software during meetings when I am away from my desk. I would rather not take my Surface tablet with me in addition to my iPad for the sole purpose of viewing Gantt charts.
Clair, thanks so much for carrying all of that info over here! It's great to have all of this in one place. :)
My team was so excited to find Wrike. After creating a PO request process using 'requests' and setting up schedule templates and dependencies for our project managers in the field we were super let down to find out we can't even use the product. ย Our field personnel use iPhones and iPads. We are a construction firm and that isย the most reasonable fit for us, outside of switching to Android devices, which will not happen. ย I view this as a huge oversight or just a plain bad decision on Wrike's part. ย Without these features, it's just another task app. ย
This is a critical feature for my company, we are a design firm and a general contractor. We just outfitted our Project Managers and Site Supervisors with iPad Pros and one of items they need to verify on site is our gantt charts, constantly.ย
Is there any feedback as to when this might roll out?ย
@Adam We were advised in early June 2017 by our Wrike implementation consultant that timeline view on mobile iOS devices are not on the roadmap due to "lack of use on the Android". Hopefully as more users vote for this functionality Wrike will reprioritize.
@Adam I pulled up Wrike on Chrome on my iPad Pro, requested the desktop site and after messing around a bit, was okay using it there. For whatever reason, the vertical scrolling wasn't working on the timeline view, but if you push the little square on the zoom bar, that should get the scrolling working in all directions. ย Worst case you can use the pop-up to navigate. ย We're now going to give it a few weeks and see how our guys in the field get along using the website.ย
@JoshFord I am going to try that fix this week and see how it work, thank you for the suggestion! I'll keep you posted.ย
Great App. BUT. Timeline view is Non-Optional for project management. To not haveย this in IOS, and on android is a dis-service to anything we are working on on wrike. "The people perish for a lack of vision" Timeline view is not optional. I expect to see it on my iOS soon. Thank you.ย
I'm not sure how you arrived at the opinion that the feature isn't used in Android - I used to have an Android tablet and used it all the time.. made the switch to IOS (like virtually everyone else using tablets professionally) and was amazed that it wasn't a current feature.
Hi all, just dropping in here to thank you all for continuing to bump this post.
Our Product team is aware that more and more people are looking to use Wrike for mobile and posts like these help understand what features to focus on during these internal discussions. Any updates on this, I'll post back here ๐
Hi, I am currently using the trial iOS app. To be honest itโs useless without the timeline as thatโs half the functionality.
I will only be investing in this once the timeline is there otherwise itโs just the same as the others.
I am currently reviewing options for a project management system implementation, and found Wrike to be really nice.
Then found out that it is not really useful on iOS. As all our employees in upper management use iOS devices, the software is only as useful for us, as the iOS implementation is capable.ย
Quite a letdown... even the web app can not be opened in safari, a solution that would be a workaround. Now I have to try chrome as well, as indicated by josh ford.
Any workaround would still only be that, a workaround.
Me too, me too. Timeline view is an essential feature of this software and has to be included in the iOS version, please. Thank you
Must have timeline on ios!
This program is currently a huge waste of time. I canโt imagine how or why you would roll out Android with better functionality than iOS.
My next task in wrike will be to find a better application!
@Everyone, thank you for your input here. Timeline on iOS is something that our team intends to release, but it's not on the short-term roadmap (in this case that means that the team has not yet started developing the functionality).ย As the team does start working on the release we'll make sure to keep you updated. In the meantime, your votes and comments help the team as they do begin to plan!ย
While we await this crucial feature on iOS why are we not able to brows, via whatever preferred browser, to the web version of Wrike and find Timeline view working there for us?
ย
Thanks,
David
Still no change (while more than one year passed since the original request)...:( We are almost about subscribing to Wrike with our company (or other PM software), but as my boss uses Apple devices, it probably won't happen only because of the lack of this essential feature in the iOS apps...:S
timeline view is critical. I almost exclusively bring my ipad to meetings and having to leave the room to get a laptop so I can show relevant information is a pain. Timeline views are one of the major benefits of your product, please add this functionality to all platforms for access.ย
Since our company has switched to iOS devices, wrike is just a waste of money for us with no timeline and no way to add a new project. Itโs super sad that people have been asking for this for so long and it falls on deaf ears. Project managers in the field need these options, as we spend more time here than in the office
Hi there, any idea when we'll get a timeline in an board view on IOS.
I just downloaded Wrike but will have to leave it as there is no gantย view on the ios platform.ย I have found an app that will do it so will use that. Probably good for you to see there is a need for it even if it isn't big enough to warrant you including it. Hence this post.
I recently completed a customer satisfaction survey for Wrike, and truthfully reflected that Wrike is a fantastic tool, and as a company we find it invaluable. However, as a user who started off with an Android tablet (which can render a timeline, or Gantt view), I continue to be frustrated at the lack of this feature for IOS.
I had a pleasant back and forth with the Wrike staffer, and repeated the point.. and was directed here (I've left various comments over the months and years).
ย It's doubly frustrating that there is no indication from Wrike that this (which I refuse to believe is possible in Android and not IOS) is a feature under development - the amount of time represented in this thread should be an embarrassment to the Wrike team.
More than this, I see the same kind of "look at all the exiting new things we're developing that connect Wrike to other things" that marked the start of Evernote dropping the ball on its core features; I'd hate for the same thing to happen to Wrike.
[irony - I literally got an email from Wrike as I'm typing ... "New tools are exciting!"]
Wrike - please understand that the users who use your product mainly want it to be the *best tool for managing multiple projects* - and that means being able to render Gantt views - and sometimes that means on the go. Please give this request some needed priority.
In our company we use only iOS devices and this feature is defenitely missing ... especial for the top management that has often the need to operate on the go. +100 to add it to the iOS App.
ย
Is there any new updates to a release of the timeline on ios?ย
Hey everyone, thanks for your continued support for this suggestion. Our Product team is looking at it closely, so when there's more info, I'll make sure to get back to you. Thank you!

At this point, after reading all the previous posts, it seems this functionality will not be coming to IOS.
Which is sad considering how iPads are quickly becoming laptop replacements.
2 years to decide whether or not to add a feature is insane (Perhaps some project management is needed).
Please, please update the Mobile app to view the Gant Chart. Ive been waiting for this function for more than a year now..
