File Version

Good morning,

We simply use a shared folder which sits on a server to store our files and the convention for versioning is to add to the filename: d1, d2, etc.

I noticed that if I upload a document named "First Draft d1" and then upload a new version to it named "Second Draft d2", the name remains "First Draft d1".

Yes of course Wrike updates the version number but I was wondering if there was a possibility to actually have the latest filename?

Thank you, Terence.

Hi Terence, thank you for posting here! This is an interesting point, thank you for noticing that. The reason for file names remaining the same, while the version number changes, is that Wrike regards these files being the exact same ones but with some updates made. This helps save space in the attachments area, by reducing clutter from multiple file names. I think this is an interesting observation though, and can see how it would be helpful in the us case you described, so I wanted to let you know we have a Product Feedback section where you can share your thoughts and ideas about the product functionality. :)
