Task have the same status as the project

So Ihad a question. I have build a request form that allows the requester to fill in what kind of priority the project has: low, medium or high. This will change the project status to low, medium or high. But the thing is that the tasks in that project will always have the status low priority, since it is based on a blueprint. Is it possible to change the statusses of the tasks together with the project?
