Feature request: clone calendar layers
There are often times where I create a calendar with an entire team's schedule, for example, but I want one color per person. Right now, I have to add a layer and replicate everything I selected every single time, only changing the assignee. It would be nice to be able to clone or make a copy of an existing layer and then just change the one detail I want to change.
Hey Katie Peters, thank you for the suggestion! It's been passed on to our Product team.
Any update on this? A feature like Duplicate Layer would be immensely helpful! I'm often manually creating duplicate layers with slight variations - a quick duplicate function would then allow me to go into the setting and modify a small component, instead of spending all the time setting them up by hand.
Hey Joseph Anderson, and welcome to the Community!
Thank you for sharing your interest in this suggestion. No update at the moment - if there is any new information here, I'll be sure to let you know.
Following up on the above.
Thanks!
Hey Lydia Lieberman, no updates to share here at the moment, but if that changes we'll be sure to update this thread 👍

Any update on this? I'm creating a variety of calendars at the moment and each time I make a new layer I have to go in and reselect every single space we have in Wrike (a lot) to be sure it's capturing everything. It would be great to do what everyone else here has suggested and press "duplicate" than only have to adjust one piece and call it done.
Hi Aimee Reistad, thank you for posting, I'm passing on your feedback to our Product team 👍🏼
This forum works based on the voting system that we have, and once any suggestion reaches 60 upvotes from the Community, it receives a status from our Product team. For this reason, please be sure to upvote the original post above if you haven't yet - the number of votes helps the team understand how popular a suggestion is. Here's more detail on that, please let me know if you have any questions!
@... Thank you. I have upvoted it, however had saw others request an update and get a response so I was doing the same since the original post is from 2 years ago. I'm guessing this hasn't received enough votes yet to be marked as an upcoming upgrade? Thank you.
Hi Aimee Reistad, hope you don't mind me jumping in for Cansu here 😊
All feedback from this forum gets reported to our Product team. Once a suggestion receives 60 upvotes, we add a Product status after checking with the team. They can't commit to working on all suggestions here, unfortunately, but some of them do get to be worked on. You can check out which Community suggestions were released or worked on last year in this post.
I hope this answers your question. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else 🤗

I am voting for this also. We are needing to set up some detailed calendars and are crestfallen to see this feature has been sitting around.
Hi Joshua Johnson, welcome to the Community and thank you for adding your support here.
Absolutely this is an obvious addition, I've just created 20 layers manually, one for each person/item I want shown on the calendar. Super tedious and baffling..
Thank you for adding your support here Aaron Gerlach🙌🏼
Happy to upvote this, would be a very time saving solution!
We have a team calendar that uses several layers, one for each marketing area, so we can see what upcoming activities we are doing as a team.
The issue is all these layers have to have their status set in the filters, so changing a view from future activities to completed ones - or via any other filter - requires manually going into each layer to change filters.
As one calendar is used by the whole team this means everyone would have to amend their own filters in their own way and then re-set them for the view to return to normal. This is why it would be great to be able to duplicate a whole calendar to create your own view of it OR to have the ability to swap filters across all layers in the same calendar.
Thanks for bumping this older thread Boris Sevsek! It would also be great if you could share your use case 🙂
