Request Status Update Notification

Not only should the "Request Status Update" send an email, but there should also be a notification in the Wrike Inbox.

Hey Sarah Abell, thank you for the suggestion! It's been passed on to our Product team.

and it would make sense to generate an entry in the task history, which and when the request was made

Did this function disappear?  I had the ability to use it last month and this month is it no longer available for me.

This is also no longer a menu item on any of my tasks, too. A colleague in the same workspace reports the same issue.

Thanks, Elaine! Vanessa, Wrike Support replied to my similar inquiry and said that they'd disabled the feature:

"The 'request status update' feature was completely removed recently as it had very low usage when looked at global usage across all accounts. You can also easily request an update by leaving a comment with an @mention in the task itself, assignees will receive an Inbox Notification and an Email Notification if they have those enabled."

Bummer. But mystery solved. FWIW, Wrike Support also suggested setting up a workflow with a time-based trigger so that tasks that founder in a status for X amount of time auto-pings the tasks' assignees (they linked to this support article on Wrike's Automation Engine).

That is a bummer, I recently discovered that option by mistake.  I don't think most people knew it was there to be honest.  Wish they would reactive it or give people the option to have it apart of their system if they choose to.

Hi everyone! First of all, I apologize for the confusion here. We would normally let you know about a feature being sunsetted in our Weekly Release Notes, but this update came out when we paused the notes' publishing until mid-January (we mentioned it in the last note posted on December, 28 here). We will include mention of this sunset in the next update in the Weekly Release Notes which is coming out on Monday 👍

Thank you for noticing and sharing your thoughts with us, we'll make sure to pass on your feedback to our Product team. Special thanks to Jessica Kim for posting a workaround provided by Wrike Support.

If you have a question about setting up an automation rule, please let me know here, I'll be happy to discuss 🙂
