Hi Siddartha, welcome to the Wrike Community!

There are many ways that Wrike can help you to manage your Agile projects. I'd recommend checking out this post from our blog. It's full of tips and techniques to make sure that you get the most out of your Wrike experience! If you'd like as well, I can move this post to our Best Practices forum so that other users could make some suggestions as to how they use Wrike with Agile projects?

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions let me know 😊

I'm sorry, but this blog post doesn't help me in a single bit how Wrike is suited to manage Agile projects.
Things we do not have, and cannot configure:

  • a Plan board where the columns represent (the custom field) Story Points, for easy & quick Estimation
  • a burn-down chart during the sprint
  • a velocity chart showing realised points over many sprints

Basic conclusion:

  • you can add a field Story Points,
  • you can enter Story Points in Table View, and see cumulative totals

and that's about it. Please inform me if I missed most of the "many ways" you're referring to?

Thank you for reaching out Wim Janin, that's a great question! There are different features in Wrike that can help you if you're managing agile projects. There are workflows, custom fields that you mention here, dashboards, kanban where you can also enable the fields, table view, reports. Burndown charts aren't currently available in Wrike. It would be great if you could explain more specifically what you'd like to build in Wrike, I'll be happy to discuss!

Wrike *is* simply failing at making Agile work in any significant way.

Lisa, I appreciate that you're asking nicely, and I'm also happy to discuss, but to be honest: if we need to explain to you (Wrike) what tools are needed to support Agile, that clearly does not correspond with the image that Wrike itself wants to build saying "We do Agile".

Also still waiting on some crucial steps forward - but every month that passes by, my hope lowers, my frustration builds up and the desire to look for another tool increases. And the total and complete lack of Agile support is a big part of that frustration: no story points per sprint, no burn down chart, no sprint velocity, no resource availability per sprint, quite some inconvenience while working with boards (selecting a project for a sprint and it's tasks).
Reading the community posts here makes it obvious that many of the important features have been mentioned years ago, and still no significant progress.

Wrike has it's merits, but not for Agile projects. So dear Wrike Marketing team: please stop advertising Wrike to support Agile (like e.g. https://www.wrike.com/blog/what-is-burndown-chart/ which is in fact pure click-bait) . You simply create disappointed customers.

Thank you for getting back to me Wim Janin! Did you have a chance to look at Wrike Analyze functionality? There are numerous boards available, including burndown and agile velocity. Please let me know what you think!

Ah great. That's indeed what I'm looking for.

But you didn't mention it's a paying upgrade... And I can't seem to find a price on https://www.wrike.com/add-on-wrike-analyze/
It's a "fill out this form" type of pricing, which seldom means it's low on the budget...

Update after a long time of getting Wrike to work at least a bit Agile: it can't. It doesn't. And we have chosen another path.

__ A wee bit more info___

The number is 7.
I now have 7 - seven - emails, as a reaction to my question, all stating that another person will solve my question: "how can we count Story points, have burn down charts and store this info on a Sprint".
The last one asked for a meeting, so I could explain what I actually ment with my questions.

So I decided to quit. To stop this never-ending chase. Wrike is not Agile, not ment to be, not going in that direction at all.

Because what I ask for - and what Wrike ask me to explain - is the most basic, the most primitive version of how Agile works. If 7 people cannot simply explain how this should work in Wrike, it means you do not understand the question.

It's like I need to explain the definition of an alphabet, and Wrike claims it's perfectly fit to write novels.
So I'm sorry, but this path is ending for me.

As a reference: I got my story points, sprint definition and burndown chart in Jira in just under 5 minutes.
You read this well:   f - i - v - e  minutes.
I was just hoping to get around it in Wrike, so I would not have to do the tedious task of the data conversion.
But it's simply not worth it. Jira will become our new tool, we'll do the conversion.

So please please: do the rest of the world a big favour: ask your Marketing department to stop claiming "Wrike does Agile".

PS: don't read this wrong: Wrike is a very good and versatile tool. But simply not Agile. At all.
