New User Message and Department Underutilisation

Hi all,

Due to the complexities of some areas and the systems that administrators might want to set up (for example I've made a request form for (new) users to request access to new areas of the work-space) I thought it would be beneficial if Administrators could create an on-boarding message and presets for new users.

 

For example it could be useful to add all new-users to a user group allowing them access to some folders at straight away after joining Wrike instead of having to be manually shared in or added to a group - such as for training packages or globally accessible information.

 

Having the ability to modify the default drop down list for different departments and/or teams would then allow for conditional rules that would automatically add users to user groups (reducing the amount of maintenance work administrators need to do). Furthermore, departments are generally underutilised - they can't be viewed by anyone (including high level admins except through logging in as another user) - and currently serve no purpose at all - a user's department should be visible for all other users.

There is the include "Include personal message" option when inviting new users but even the ability to change this default message would be extremely beneficial.

Hello George Fiveash, thank you for your post! At the moment the option to automatically include users to User Groups is not supported, but I have passed your feedback on to our Product Team 👍
 
About the customizable message sent to new users, would you please provide us with more details on what would you like to achieve? Is this the option you are looking for?

Not quite. Though I am aware of the custom message capability.

"Customize the invitation email (for paid accounts only) : click Include personal message, edit the text, and click Done."

By this I meant standardised invitation messages depending on who you're inviting. Not personalised. The personalised should be at the top of an inviation email, the standardised invitation text should follow it.
It is currently possible to have Wrike's settings such that all (regular+) users can invite other users:

"New users can be added to a Wrike account by admins and owners. Regular users can also add new users to the account, however this right can be removed from them in Enterprise accounts."

Therefore there's no guarantee that new users will recieve the correct startup information they require e.g. links to internal training documents etc.
