Wrike Projectnumber
We are using Wrike to manage our projects. We have always had Projectnumbers to help our Accounting deparment. For us we currently have to add it to the title and set the number manually.
We have played with the idea of using a customfield for this, but one main issue still stays the same:
We need to figure out what the next free number is.
The current Syntax for our Projects are :
[S/M]-[YY]-[0000] the 0s being a running number.
When launching multiple projects at once it is often difficult to figure out which number is the next one.
As we have automated our timelogs, it also would be beneficial for us if we could export said Projectnumber as a head for timelogs.
We would prefer to avoid having to use the API to automate this process, as it's a fairly big amount of work to implent such features on our side...
Is there a plan to have automatically increasing index customfields or something similar to this?
Hi Florian Gascho, thank you for reaching out!
IDs are available in Wrike, you can read about project IDs here. Custom IDs, like suggested in this post, are not currently planned, but our team is aware of this feedback. We'll keep the Community posted if there are any changes in the future.

Hi Lisa I know about those project IDs in Wrike, sadly they do not fit our needs currently.
Perhaps we can figure out a workaround for the time being...
Thanks for the reply!
