Show subitems in task/item view

Is there a way for me to see a list of subitems and status in the Item View? Like we used to?

When I'm in an item, I can see the number of subitems both at the top and in the description. I thought clicking on the Subitem link at the top would open some kind of collapsed pane but it just takes me to the bottom of the description where I can again see the number of items and have to click a link to go to the details...and if I click that, I'm taken to the table view where our default view is All Active Tasks. I don't see completed tasks unless I go and change the filter at the top to All Tasks.

It's like 4 clicks for me to see the subtasks of any given item now. Then, when I want to go back to the Item View I was reviewing to start with, I have to navigate back to it since viewing the subtasks navigated me away from it.

Also, next time I navigate to Table View which is our default, I will also have to change the filter back to All Active Tasks.

Hi Allison Chase,

are you using a CIT?

If yes you need to add subitems visible in CIT configuration

Thanks Pietro Poli. It is a CIT and I do have them visible there (in all of my CITs). This also happens in Item View for tasks and projects that are not CITs.

Hi Allison Chase, thank you for bringing this to us. May I please ask you to confirm if this behavior replicates both in projects and tasks?

Pietro Poli thank you for your help, as always!

Thanks for asking, @...

It's only happening in project type items and folders. Task type items do show the subtasks at the bottom of the description.

Thank you for your reply, Allison Chase. At the moment, this behavior is expected, but I can see how it might not be ideal for you and your team and I've passed your case on to our Product Team.

I've moved your post to our Product Feeback forum so other users can upvote your suggestion.
