[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Duplicate a question in forms
Hi there,
I have a request for the ability to duplicate a question on a form. I initially had a form where on the first page you select what deliverable you require, and also select your department and program area from a dropdown. The department and program area mapped to custom assignments and folder locations. However some of the deliverable options don't use the custom assignments, but the majority do need the department and program information, so I have to move those 2 questions to be part of the subsequent relevant pages and remove them from the first page.
Duplicating these 2 questions on 4 other form pages is about a day's work, so I'd really love to see this feature added ;)
Hi Austin, I really like your thinking here, it's an interesting suggestion 👍
I'd like to get a better understanding of your use case however just in case I've slightly misunderstood it.
You're making edits to an existing Request form, and you'd like to move an existing question to a subsequent page without having to re-write it?
Thanks for posting 🙂
Hi Stephen! That's correct. I want to copy a question with many dropdowns, each selection with custom assignments and folder placements, to another page of the form while retaining all those custom elements. So I can then remove it from the original location without having to manually recreate every question and custom assignments.
That's a logical request Austin. I'll ensure it's brought to the attention of our Product Team and if there are any updates I'll get back to you here. Thanks again for sharing. Happy posting 👍
Yes! I cannot believe this option isn't there. Request forms are not that friendly to create. The UX could be SO much better. You should be able to:
• Duplicate a question and place wherever you want.
• Duplicate an entire page within an existing request form.
YES! Please offer this option. It would be really really helpful.
I am creating request forms with many dropdown options.
On each of these options I need to add a product pick lists - these are around 50 strong.
If you I could duplicate a question then I wouldn't have to spend almost a day copying each product into the new request.
And yes I know if I made the product list on a single page and link to that page I could solve this but for various reasons I can't do that. So the ability to duplicate a question would be a very good product enhancement.
This would be a great option for our team because currently we are copying sections of a form manually. I know you can duplicate the entire form, but it would be nice to be able to duplicate questions on a form and move them to other pages.
This would be an AMAZING feature! I have wasted so much time having to copy my dropdown questions by hand 😕
This is such a good idea, (and would personally save me time too) and the Product Team agrees. They're currently working on other enhancements right now, so this is on the Backburner and the team will look into this at a later stage and I'll keep you updated here 👍
I need this too! I am struggling with having to do this by hand. Thanks.
I desperately need this too! It takes so long to create forms! Often times we ask up front how many deliverables but then need to ask the same questions regarding each deliverable- so i have to create a new page and build out the questions for 1 deliverable, then another page and built out the same exact questions for 2 deliverables... so on and so forth and often times we are doing 10+ deliverables.
My team would also greatly benefit from this feature. Please reconsider adding it.
Any progress on this?
Hi everyone! I've checked with the team - this suggestion isn't on their short-term roadmap, but I will be checking again in Q1 2021 and I'll let you know if there's a status change. Please make sure to +1 the original suggestion - this is what really helps the team assess the popularity of suggestions here.

Any update on this functionality?
I really can't believe such a simple and useful feature isn't available! This feature would save us so much time. Are there any updates?
not surprised.
Disappointing to see the last post - this would be a HUGE help. I have spent hours updating a form, having to manually replicate pages, questions, and lists of dropdown selections throughout the form in order for them to dynamically populate project templates.
Hello Laura Walz, thank you for sharing your feedback, I've passed it on to our Product team.
I agree with Laura Walz on this issue. It is incredibly time consuming updated request forms, which we use daily at my organization. I'd love to see the backend of these forms become more Wrike user friendly. It doesn't seem like this would take a lot of time to develop for a great end product for those of us maintaining request forms for our organizations.
Thank you for supporting here Maria Childs! 🙌 I'm passing your feedback to our Product team. Workfront calls this a question library, and I'd love to see that functionality in Wrike.

Lisa can you give us a product roadmap from the product team so we can see what's coming up? I think it would help everyone here requesting product enhancements to have a clear picture of what is getting prioritized over our requests. I have put thumbs up on a couple of posts over the past few weeks (including this one) and none of them seem to have any movement. It's hard to just hear "we're not working on it" or "this is a great idea, I'll send it to the team" over and over again. Any context you could provide us would go a long way in our relationship with this community. Thanks!
Hi Amy Schlabach! Thanks a lot for letting us know your thoughts on how we work with Product Feedback here!
Currently, we don't provide a public roadmap. At the same time, the statuses that the suggestions with 60+ votes have show the team's plans in relation to different ideas posted here on the Community. Here's a detailed article on statuses and what they mean.
Community feedback is crucial to our team and it helps them prioritize based on what you're sharing with us. At the same time, they can't unfortunately work on every suggestion posted here. If you'd like to learn more about how we process and send your feedback, please check out this post.
If you're interested to see which Community suggestions have been released or worked on in 2021, I'd encourage you to read this post: 2021 Community Product Suggestions Wrap-Up.

Please add ability to duplicate custom items on request forms, too much time waste spent on something that could be automated on the back end!
Definitely need this. Can't believe it hasn't been done yet!
Hey folks, I wanted to jump in here to let you know that while this suggestion isn't currently on our team's roadmap, the product team is closely monitoring feedback here.
