[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Task Reminder via Wrike E-Mail Notification
It would be awesome to be able to right-click on a task (or sub-task) - or use a menu option - to tell Wrike to send a reminder at a certain date/time to selected team members.
Let's say I have a task that is assigned to me, but I am waiting on a response from a vendor. I want a reminder (via Wrike e-mail notification with a link to the task) to trigger me to follow up with that vendor to see where things stand. I don't want to have to add any additional tasks in the project as a reminder task or manually add a reminder to my calendar in Outlook - that's just clunky.
I have used the iCal sync, but when I try to set a reminder on the item in the calendar in Outlook, I get an error that the folder does not support reminders and that the calendar is read-only, so I can't set a reminder anyway.
Other tools, under consideration by my team, have this feature and it's been useful in our testing while we are in the PM tool selection process.
Thank you for weighing in, Amanda Huber, Russell Hires! I've asked the team to provide a little more detail on this, so if they are able to share this info, I'll let you know.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.

@... wouldn't it be more accurate to be telling people this is simply not going to happen, at all? "not on the roadmap for the near future" is giving the wrong signal that this has potential of being added, but in reality it isn't.
We are 3 weeks in to trialling Zoho Projects and it has this functionality, along with most of the features Wrike offers, is far cheaper than Wrike and I think will be stealing an awful lot of your custom. Reminders surely must be a fundamental starting point of any project management tool. Everyone else can't be doing it wrong, surely?
As you know, you've lost my custom over this issue as 3 years is far to long to be on the back burner, and I suspect if people who need a task management platform, as we do, trial Zoho, then you'll be losing a great deal more.
Really poor show from Wrike given the high level of demand for this basic and clearly wanted function.
There are several open discussions regarding reminders, each with an angle of their own.
Somehow Wrike should combine all of those feature suggestions into one single meta discussion. One looses track of what is going on otherwise.
To Wrike I'd say that email reminders would be a horror show par exellence. Imagine how your email starts cluttering with different types of alerts. Help!
As Outlook does its reminders really well, truly, why not copy that basic functionality from MS Outlook? Why not? Actually, why really not?
Sad to say, as others have observed numerous times during the years as well, the lack of reminders in Wrike is very difficult to understand. In many ways Wrike is really good, sometimes excellent, even brilliant. Then in some respects it is just, I am sorry to say, idiotic (lack of reminders is the most salient example). Luckily there are only very few such holes in the list of most needed basic work flow management functionalities in Wrike.
But the lack of reminder all-around-functionality is like the black hole in the center of our galaxy. It sucks in a big portion of the great over all functional value of Wrike. Argh!
Reminders please. Whenever I introduce Wrike to my project team members, they ask how to turn email reminders on. I have to tell them it can't be done.

Anastasia Shevchenko, I appreciate the update, and I understand how prioritization can shuffle things around, but I'm still very upset with the answer. There's nothing more core than notifications for a project management platform that's aimed at keeping everyone on top of things. I'm unsubscribing from notifications of this thread because I'm just giving up on waiting. I already slashed our Wrike subscription by half, but I'm going to jump ship by next February (our renewal period) if this doesn't become a feature.
Anastasia Shevchenko Whilst I'm sure you've relayed what is going on, there are a couple of queries this raises for, I'm sure, more than just me.
As many people have mentioned, pretty much every one of your serious competitors has this function, and it is invaluable. We are now using Zoho purely because of this and, had Wrike had it, we would not have moved over. Mo Masoud correctly identifies this is not even a priority item, it is fundamental to project management, and a tool which has no task level reminders is simply one that cannot be used as a project management tool.
I wish you the best with your future updates. However, for us the change has been made now and, following a very short familiarity period, the ability of assigning task level reminders for us is already proving to be well worth the move.

I just started using Wrike today, and was searching for a reminder option.
That's really bad to see that this core functionality has been requested for 4 years now and doesn't seem to be anywhere near implemented.
Welcome to the Community Thiago Romam! Thank you for letting us know your feedback and I'm sorry this is disappointing to you.
I will pass your feedback to the Product team.
Please let me know if I can help with anything else.

Similarly to the original post requesting reminders on tasks, my team, who is new to Wrike this month, would use this daily. We contact our customers and when they are not availabe, or they require another follow up we would like to be able to set a reminder for a date and time, on the task, that sends an email reminder, to follow up on the task. It would be useful to be able to assign the reminder to one or more of the team (or the team as a whole) so that managers can assign reminders to consultants.
Welcome to the Community Terry Wilkinson, and thank you for supporting this suggestion 🤗
I don't have an update from the Product team currently, but I will share it as soon as there is one 👍

Same boat - we need reminders for specific times, such as ten minutes before a meeting starts or at a specific time such as 1pm.
Thank you for your support here Stacey Olsen!

I registered for the upcoming product roadmap webinar next week thinking that this feature would be finally announced.
"Learn about our 6 big feature updates that will help teams transform their digital workspace". Surely task reminders are going to be on that list! 😅
Thank you for reaching out Danzel Tay! Currently, we don't share a public roadmap on the Community, but I hope you'll like this webinar with your Customer Success Manager 😊

Hi there,
Has this feature already been implemented? If not, has there been any additional discussions regarding this feature?
Thank you!
Hi Jamie, Unfortunately there has not been. You would think with a 6page forum post Wrike would realize this is a sought after feature and implement it...

I'll add to this growing demand for what could be a rather simple feature to implement compared to much of what Wrike has put together. Such a reminder feature clearly has a multitude of uses for different individuals. We use Wrike for our help desk tickets system, and a reminder function would be extremely helpful to make sure tickets are addressed in a timely manner. A shame Wrike does not think such a feature would be beneficial to a majority of users. If over 300 users took the time to upvote this, imagine how many more are too busy actually doing work to take the time to find this.

Our team has released a feature in Wrike Labs that I'm hoping can help you with this use case - due time in date custom fields with the ability to add an automation rule to create reminders. Could you please check out this Help Center article for more info and let me know if it can help?

Hiya Lisa. The functionality recently released in Wrike Labs doesn't suit my needs for the reminder functionality.
In addition, it's a staggeringly complicated method for what should be two clicks (one to open a dropdown/menu, one to choose a length of time).
Thank you for your feedback Jarod Pulo, I'll make sure to pass it on to the team.

Wow, nothing like keeping customers happy!?!

Hi Lisa. Not "back" exactly but thanks for the welcome.
This was the only issue for me and many others, so I'll pass on the walk thanks, but appreciate the offer.
