Can anyone explain the benefit of having a Wrike backup if it can't be restored or rolled back?
I think this is critical feature for many businesses/users.

Hi Ariel Yurman, some companies might back up due to various concerns. Do you have any current issues you're facing?
Hi Ariel,
I also found it odd that Wrike has that option but doesn't have any means to use it. I had asked that question when we were in talks of merging our instance with another teams Wrike account. Question was: will you backup our instances prior to the merge just in case if "things hit the fan" then we can restore our instances separately? I had multiple support technicians tell me no and if things got messy/unorganized then it was up to us, the customer, to fix it. When I asked why there was the backup button in Settings they could not give me a straight answer.
What's the point of backing up our instance when we cannot use it?
Do you have any current issues you're facing? Yes - cannot restore a backup
I find it very perplexing why Wrike would provide a backup function without a supporting restore tool. Wrike have mentioned their resilience built around the product such as database replication etc. - however database backup is not always about resilience and data recovery - most of the time it refers to having the flexibility to recover and roll back to a point of time.
Wrike...sort it out please
Thank you for bumping this thread Andy Pearce, please be sure we pass it on to our Product team.
I don't have an update at the moment, but we thank you for your feedback and we'll let you know if there are any changes in the future.

Hello, Wrike.com Team!
Has the Backup & Restore issue been resolved?
Our company is ISO 27001:2013 ISMS Certified, and our next audit is November 2024 for the ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Certification.
The ISO and Independent 3rd Party Auditor have asked about the Wrike.com application that our company uses for Risk Management. The Lead Auditors are asking if Wrike.com and Backup & Restore the Risk Management Project tables and data.
If Wrike.com cannot Backup & Restore, our company will receive a Major or Minor Nonconformance because of the high level of Information Security Risk involved if the Risk Management Project tables and data cannot be restored. If this happens, our company may not be able to receive the ISO certification. 😔
My apologies,
I did not include that the ISO Registrar and Independent 3rd Party Auditor are asking if Wrike.com has an Enterprise Backup & Recovery capability for all your Customer's data at Wrike.com and not referring to the Customer Recovery using the Recycle Bin.
Thank you!

Hello everyone,
We know many of you are interested in how our backup and recovery processes work. We’ve recently updated the information on our website, and you can find all the details here.
To summarize: the account backup feature that some of you have mentioned is a legacy tool, originally created over 10 years ago in response to specific customer requests. Please note that these backups cannot be restored through Wrike. We recommend using this feature only if you need to create local backups for compliance purposes.
The good news is that you don’t need to worry about restoring your data - Wrike automatically handles data recovery in the event of any system failure on our side. In certain cases, we can also assist with recovery if data loss occurs on the customer’s side (for example, if an admin accidentally deletes important projects).
You can find more details at the link above, but you can be absolutely assured that your data is safe and can be restored in the event of any serious issues.
Thank you for trusting Wrike with your work!
