Enable Save Session in Wrike Desktop App

Does the Desktop App have save session enabled as a feature? I love the desktop app environment but am used to having all my wrike tabs saved in Firefox using Tab Session Manager.

Desktop App feels inferior if it doesnt even save multiple sessions.

Cheers

I agree. Tabs are not useful until we can save either our sessions and/or have defaults (preferences) set. I'm in the processing of rolling this platform out, and I see this as one of the initial push-backs to using the desktop app(s)

@Mike - I'm also experiencing intermitent crashes.
What I'm doing atm is to use the desktop app for my "template" so I can always tab back to it.
Otherwise for opening wrike tasks that you know you wont be able to complete or plan to delay and want to keep a specific tab open for it to go back to later, I suggest the same thing I indicated on the original post.
Use Firefox + Tab Session Manager. Works like magic

i had just changed over to using the wrike windows app (hoping for better performance than the browser version) and was shocked when on restart my tabs were not saved.  i routinely have a minimum of 10 open, often many more.

so i have had to uninstall the windows app and am back to using chrome

Agreed, I really need this feature! My laptop has a habit of needing a reboot when switching to wifi and I always have a LOT of tabs open to help me to organise my workload (I still haven't found a perfect solution to keeping track of all my open tasks) and of course every time I reboot, the desktop app closes all the tabs and I then annoy my colleagues by not fixing their issues as I have no record they contacted me (apart from the unmanageable "assigned to you" list or just trawling my email inbox for mentions etc.. )

Hi Hugh,

it's Q1 of 2021, is there an update on this Feature Request by any chance? It seems that tabs are restored on restart of Wrike already but most of the time this feature does not work proerly for me. I am unable to change the tabs that automatically get opened on App startup. It's always the same 3 tabs that open and I am unable to change it. Is there a way to "save" the current tabs for future startups?

I am using Wrike Windows App v.3.3.7

July 2021... and this issue persists.

Update - Cansu - Aaron K. reachd out and I was able to delete wrike data, reinstall the Windows app. Seems like I had to logout through the app to get the screens/tabs to stick.  Works now though.  Here are instructions Aaron provided:

If you are already using the latest app version, please try completely uninstalling and then reinstalling the Desktop app on your computer. Here is how to completely uninstall the Desktop App on Windows:

- Uninstall Wrike desktop app the same way you would uninstall any other app.

- Once it's done, delete the folder: %APPDATA%\Wrike (this is the most important step)
1. Press Win + R to open Run dialog.
 2. Paste this command in the Run field and press Enter: %APPDATA%\Wrike
 3. The folder that you need to delete will open.
 4. Move one level up and delete "Wrike" from "Roaming"

After completely uninstalling the app as described above, please reinstall the app by following the installation instructions in our Help Center.

Thanks for sharing, Dan Moore !
I wonder why the support team would send the instructions only to you and not post it here where all affected users can read along. 🤷‍♂️

Andreas Friedl

Perhaps this is an intermittent issue or only affects a small subset of users.  All I know is that I seem to encounter a lot of "Abbey Normal" issues!  Did that fix work for you, too?
