Content Controls & User Permissions - Restricting Changes to Folder Structure

We really would like to restrict most people from changing the file structure.  It makes sense for everyone to create projects.  But not for everyone to create new folders.  I think there should be more levels of user permissions.

@ Alan, Great idea!

I would also like to be able to also restrict users from making changes to the contents of designated folders.  This is especially true when it comes to folders containing our various project templates.

@Alan @Scott Hi there! Have you guys had a chance to check our Folder permissions? They let you limit the rights someone has on a particular Folder/Project. Let me know if that could work for you.

Hi Stephanie.  From what I understand of these permissions, folders and projects can be removed from a particular groups view.  And if I turn off inherited permissions, some groups wont be able to see certain sub-folders.  Is that right?  But I want all my people to be able to see the folder, and edit the projects in the folder.  They all need that access.  I just don't want them to be able to add new folders or delete the folders that I have created.  I want them to be able to duplicate templates and put them in those folders, but I don't want them to be able to create any project in those folders.

It would be great to add more granular permissions. Protecting the root folder structure is key to managing our projects/company set up, there needs to be a way to separate folder permissions from task and job permissions. Its ok for people to add tasks to a job BUT we dont want them to be able to add or delete folders at the higher level.

Bringing this back up. It would be useful to have district permissions between folders and projects. I would like to restrict user from creating folders to keep common structure between our spaces, but I would need them to be able to create their projects in them.
