Wrike Issues- Need Assistance
A user in our environment asks the following:
I’m experiencing issues with the task description in Wrike. A grey box appears in the task description (parent and subtasks) and I’m unable to click the space to add text. I was finding it help to refresh. However, today refreshing is not resolving the issue.
May you assist?
Hi Luis,
Could you share a screenshot for that? It's not a permissions thing is it? Only Regular license holders would be able to edit a Task Description, but if this user only has Collaborator access, perhaps that could be why? Have you tried logging in as this user yourself through the User admin panel? I use this to try and replicate issues others are reporting.
Thanks
Agreed with James above.
It could be that the user is set to Collaborator license, in which they cannot edit descriptions. They would need to be upgraded to a Regular user to edit a description.
Similarly, if you have custom Access Roles, it could be that the ability to edit descriptions is not enabled for them. If this is the case, you need to go to Settings > Account management > Access roles and scroll to the Tasks and Subtasks section to make sure "Edit Task Description" is checked off.
A screenshot would definitely help and from the sounds of the comment that your user left, it sounds like they can sometimes edit it. I would suggest checking if they have the most up to date version of the tool downloaded (if they are using the app). A cache clear honestly helps me with most issues - there are steps you can suggest here: https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/articles/10261660481559-My-Desktop-App-is-Slow-or-Not-Loading !
Hello Luis,
As James suggests, sharing a screenshot could greatly help clear up what the issue might be.
Things to keep in mind besides the potential user role issue, could be browser issues, cache issues or any plugins/addons that the person may be running in their browser. Some add-ons are quite disruptive when it comes to input fields.
Edit: Also come to think that using the Wrike app, could also eliminate a lot of the issues with environment variables, if there doesn't seem to be any other solution
