[From Wrike] Share Your Ideas for Wrike and ChatGPT ๐ก
รpinglรฉe En avantHi Community ๐
Iโm sure youโve heard about OpenAI and ChatGPT? Maybe you are already using it?ย
What is ChatGPT?
If not, ChatGPT (Chat Generative Pre-trained Transformer) is an artificial intelligence chatbot developed by OpenAI. In a nutshell, itโs a model trained to follow an instruction in a prompt and provide a detailed response. It allows you to have human-like conversations and much more with the chatbot. For example, it can help you write emails, blog posts, documents, presentations, summarize long articles or comment threads, answer your questions or even write code to help you with your pet project.ย ย
Based on the recent research, ChatGPT substantially raises average productivity and output quality. It will be great to hear from you if youโve already started using this! Feel free to share tips on best prompts and the results you got ๐ง
And there is more!๐
Wrike has been the leader in AI Work Management for many years, with features from AI Personalized Search to AI Subtask Creation. Our Product team is working closely with OpenAI to bring awesome AI features to our solution in the near future. Thatโs why now is the perfect time to share your ideas and use cases for Wrike and ChatGPT!ย
So tell usโฆ how would you like Wrike to integrate with ChatGPT? Let us know below ๐

Due to security concerns our company does not allow installation or use of ChatGPT and it could be an issue if our Wrike account had it.
I would be very interested! To Meredith's point, you might want to allow for an option to enable/disable. But off the top of my head, to kick things off:
ALL of Nathan Jones' ideas!
I LOVE the "how can I help?" idea.
I would take the project plan idea a little further and add an auto-created project plan on the admin level with the ability to assign users or job roles, folders or projects, blueprints, etc.
Conversational Request Form, with the option for the requester to edit after the task/project is created. I would prefer the task just open after it is created.ย
Build an analytics board based on what information you want to see. In the same way, create a report or a dashboard. Prompts and/or options would be good here instead of just entering a long block of text.
Interesting potential!

Definitely echo Nathan Jones & Kelly R's ideas!ย ย
Going down the road of project and plan creation - ultimately having AI make recommendations (when prompted) for specific work types that the user commonly uses would be helpful - so ultimately bringing consistency into every project - WITH the inclusion of custom field reports for certain project types.ย While we can control some of this through blueprints and request forms - the PM usually needs the ability to add additional tasks or steps - and if they forget to add the custom field data, then we miss some vital reporting.
Also, in the Wrike Chat bot - for users with premium support, it would be great if there are specific Chat questions (similar to key terms used when submitting a support ticket) - seems like this is done everywhere and might be a good option to add in the layer specific to Wrike features and functionality that the user commonly interacts with
Wow!
How nice to hear this news!
I agree with all people above!
We've been using ChatGPT for a few months, personally it's becoming a different way for me to do research and analysis.
In any case, on Wrike I would see it as:
- Virtual assistant, which helps us understand, in real time, if the projects will be positive and on time rather than the other way around, thus enhancing what is now risk prediction
- Recommended effort for tasks that are entered, based on what that assignee has done in the past with similar tasks.
- Automatic alert on tasks that are taking too much time or that, when entered, we already know they can't be completed
Hey, great idea!
Our recent need was to distibute the request form more dynamically for example if certain name was filled in the form it can be distributted to certain folder based on the structure and the naming. So we would not have to script or assign default names in request form.
Currently each new user have to be manually added to the request this make a lot of configuration tasks when changes occur.
It's urgent to get Wrike connected to ChatGPT.ย I have been asking about this in the Live Chat as I think it's going to become a minimum standard for any such work management software very soon.ย ย
In addition to the above (of lot of which is automation based on specific business rules), I would like to see an integration where ChatGPT can use its generative and creative skills more.ย Ideally, we would like ChatGPT to see all of our content in Wrike, including attachments (Excel, Word, PDF, etc.) and links, and help us summarize and interpret information, and generate new thoughts and ideas.ย For example, read all of our business strategies, sales reports, and new product pipeline, and tell us what angles we are missing, or what sales-generating ideas we should consider, etc.
I primarily would love to echo the statements above about having the ability to ask it to analyze and summarize the status of a project. This would be helpful in drafting reports or submitting updates to project funders.
Love the ideas above. Anything to help assist using AI, would be great however the security will also be a concern. We would want to have many options regarding the feature and what it is allowed to see and not see.
I would be concerned with how our company data is being used.ย

I would like to see AI used in the FAQs via chat.
When thinking about Wrike I would like to see these options to access everywhere where we find a composer/comment/description field:
And asย Nathan Jones and others members have suggested, some of this could be available at project, space and account level too.
:-)
Big thanks for all your amazing insights here, everyone, we really appreciate your ideas, and our Product team is keeping a close eye here ๐ค

Love all the ideas above! I'd like to see Wrike look at dates and statuses and make suggestions to the assignees or owners such as:
โขย "This [task/project] has been on hold for [# days]. What steps need to be taken to get this moving again?"
โขย "[#] [tasks/projects] in this space were completed [# months] ago. Can I archive these for you?
โขย "[#] [tasks/projects] assigned to you are due on the same day. can some of them be reassigned to others or rescheduled?"
Thank you!
I am sceptic at the moment. I do not see the advantage in an industrial (none creative) project management. All automations should be inside Wrike.
Security will be a big issue. Especially in Germany (EU in general?) you will loose customers due to laws if you implement ChatGPT now I think.
I really like the idea of suggested effort based on previous tasks. I could see this being helpful with blueprints and building out the beginning of a project.ย
I also really like the idea of checking in on tasks that have past due dates. This can help with newer users and logging them into Wrike. Building good habits is hard for the early adoption of Wrike. This can be a friendly reminder to jump in and update items.
For everyone worried about privacy and security with their data, you're right to have this concern, but there's really not much difference between how OpenAI and other cloud services deal with privacy and security. When a company deploy an integration using any OpenAI's API, they're using a paid service and as a OpenAI's client their data isn't used for any other purpose or shared in any way. The 3C topic on OpenAI's Privacy Policy says:
"Use of Content to Improve Services. We do not use Content that you provide to or receive from our API (โAPI Contentโ) to develop or improve our Services. We may use Content from Services other than our API (โNon-API Contentโ) to help develop and improve our Services."
The chatGPT public page used to allow the use of information for AI training, but since March 1st it doesn't anymore. In both cases you can and need to opt in if you wish to allow the use of your data for AI training.
Both small and big businesses already uses services like email, file sharing, DAM integrations, etc that have the same kind of implications. As chatGPT scares a lot of people and it's the talk of the moment, whatch out for fake news and a lot of misunderstandings being said and shared.
Privacy and data security are issues that must be discussed and company and personal rights have to be assured, but it's not wise to turn our backs to new advancements in tech because of fear or lack of knowledge. Instead, let's join the train and help to build a better future :-)
One major aspect of AI that catches my attention is its potential to improve project management templates. Specifically, imagine how amazing it would be if I could simply describe my current project, such as a software integration project with pre-defined steps, and have ChatGPT generate a task list based on common steps involved in software integration projects. This would greatly enhance the efficiency of Wrike, providing even greater leverage for its users.
Another way that ChatGPT could integrate with Wrike COULD be via a powerful chat functionality whereby the user could ask questions around project deadlines or upcoming dates or tasks etc.
ย
Just here to echo the excitement regarding implementation of ChatGPT, and also the importance of consideration around security.
Thank you very much everyone for sharing these great suggestions and also for voicing your concerns on this topic. Our Product Development Team is carefully reviewing your feedback, please keep the good ideas coming!
Recommend resources during assignment based on workload (AI load balancing)
Wow! There are some really cool ideas in here. Right now we use ChatGPT with Wrike indirectlyย but obviously there are limitations. For example, we recorded new onboarding videos for new hires, including a video specifically on using Wrike but customized to our agency's setup. I used ChatGPT to help write the video script. Obviously there are limitations (since ChatGPT's current database only goes to late 2021, it's not a 1:1 feature match) but it got me most of the way there.ย

As a follow-up, I did manage to connect Wrike with OpenAI'a API via Zapier. So now if I create a new task in a specific folder, it will treat the task title as a prompt and then a comment is added with a response from ChatGPT. Not really more useful than just using ChatGPT directly but it was fun to get working. I started to try a more sophisticated version with Wrike Integrate but was getting pretty wild results (ChatGPT responding to its own comments...eek).
Automatically reach out to PMO in a conversational way to suggest steps in the process that need finishing with a list of tools plus formatted options inside the tools e.g., spreadsheet with an SEO template ready for use.
For example, "The team is behind in this task, would you like suggestions on steps to complete and tools necessary to get the job done?"
Big thank you for sharing your ideas with us, everyone!ย

OpenAI image upload option with transcription would be great!ย Example, using Wrike as a B2B order management portal where the order maker could snap a pic of a doc and OpenAI transcribes into the task / order.ย
Amazing, thank you for sharing your idea with us Joey Schwartz โจ

I would love to see the ability to create tasks in wrike from within ChatGPT via a custom GPT framework
Hi Aric Pearson, you can do it using Wrike Integrate
