Request forms and auto assign on Custom Status change - Selection to conditionally assign person raising request
It would be useful to be able to conditionally assign the person raising a request (created by) or auto conditionally assign the original person raising a request on a status change (created by)
For example
1) When user requests task and, selects a particular option in dropdown or checkbox type that they (created by) get assigned.
3) Also Custom Status change, now we can auto assign user on status change [good feature :) ], again it would be useful to be able to auto assign (created by) then whom ever created task is auto assigned if the status is changed to that status.
Hi Paul, great idea and thanks for adding a use case to your post.
Lee raised a similar request earlier this year. Please let me know if Lee's post is asking for the same feature so I can mark this post as a duplicate and direct members there so all votes in one place 👍
Ps - I'm happy to hear you're liking the auto-assign based on status update 🙂
Hi Stephen,
Similar but not the same, I believe Wrike now has the functionality Lee raised, what I am doing in some situations I need "requesting user" to also be assigned the task.
"requesting user" changes by whom ever creates the request.
So the form would have to look at who created the request and then replace "requesting user" in the form builder with that user.
Same would be true for the custom status change, our use case is.
User requests work.
Additional information s required, so assigned user changes status to "Awaiting Info" this then auto assigns "requesting user".
once requesting user adds info they change status back to Active and remove them selves.
or in our sales order process.
"Requesting user" requests quote,
Estimating complete quote and when complete change status to quote complete, this then auto assigns "requesting user" who then quotes customer and chases order.
Hope fully this helps.
Regards
Paul
Hi Paul, apologies, I completely understand now, thank you for the additional information - it's a really good idea!
I can definitely see the benefits of this for internal Requests and I'll make sure the Product Team sees it 👍
Hi, I was looking at the Wrike help content to find if such feature exist (auto assign request to the requester, if already a Wrike user). I understand it is not (yet) available but wanted to add to this discussion... :)
We would need it for forms we use internally to make sure the people who are creating a new task for themselves / for their team is using the same content structure. So +1 vote on this request.

+1 to this please. Ideally we would need options for admin (request form creator):
Also what would help our company tremendously is if we could insert images into the request form. Our form-users need to select items from dropdown list but need to use an external image as a reference (a printout). Ideally they would have it all in the request form itself.
It would also help if we could pick which custom status from which workflow the resulting task will have instead of defaulting to the first-in-active-category.
