Default View on Tasks

Is there a way to set a filter on the list view to always display tasks in a specified status?

For instance, when I select the list view for a project, I would like to view all tasks in the following statuses: New, In Progress, Pending Signature (custom), On Hold, Waiting on Information (custom)

The default view seems to only display the active tasks but we would like to view those that are on hold as well; On Hold, Waiting on Information (custom)

Hi Alys, thanks for posting on the Community! There's no way to save a set of filters directly to the List View, but something I usually suggest is saving filter sets as Custom Dashboard Widgets.  You can customize them as needed and view all required tasks side by side in one Dashboard. I also wanted to point you to an existing product feedback post, asking for a Default View on Folders. Would be great to see your vote there! :)

I find it frustrating to have to constantly set the view to ANY vs. ACTIVE. I like to be able to review the subtasks that have been completed to achieve an overall view of the progress. Why is this not an available feature? Seems like it would be a bit of a no brainer for someone with coding experience. Is it really that hard?

PS - why is there no downvote on comments? Would be an easy way to say "Nope!"

Hi Theresa, the down and upvotes are for the Product Feedback section where we can check the popularity of requests. I understand where you're coming from here and I'm going to move this to that section now so others can vote on this for a possible change in the future.

It's great to see you active here on the Community too, it would be great to hear a little about yourself on this Introduction post over here 🙌

Hi Alys!

I'd like to share our workarounds:

  1. Dashboard widget (just as Anastasia suggested) only for users
  2. Browser URL with predefined folder&view&filters. May be used by any person with access to the folder.
  • Choose the folder. Choose the proper view. Choose your filters (usually statuses, author, assignees, elements from search, etc).

  • Copy your browser URL.

Next step is to use such URLs. We prefer:

  1. Posting such URLs on our Wrike-info site in section "Useful links".
  2. Create desktop shortcuts for users.
  3. Use URLs as hyperlinks in Google sheets shared with our colleagues.
  4. Add URLs as one of start-pages in a browser.

Hi guys, a quick update on this. We've added some saving for filtering on a user-level. If you apply for Status: All Tasks to a Folder or Project and this view will be saved as you navigate away. So when you return during that session the Status: All Tasks will still be the filter.

If you open a new tab or start a new session the filter will reset to Status: All Active.
