[Status: Backburner ⌛️] Half day holiday logging.
Hello,
We are currently logging our staff holidays in Wrike.
The system is great, apart from one thing - we are unable to log half days! I understand from your support team that logging half days is not a feature, do you think this can be changed?
Kate

Oh my goodness, I would have thought this was a very basic item in Wrike setup! Can you please reopen this, we often have Studio staff taking a half a day off, it's making our data highly inaccurate. Plleeeeeeeeeeeaaaaase!!
Here we are another year later and this feature - which is so critical to proper scheduling - is still considered by Wrike to be unimportant. Rather than addressing the concerns of users and providing a solution for something that has been a common practice in business for many decades (partial days off), we are still left to figure out "work-around" solutions.

HI we have just started using Wrike and we need the ability to input half day holidays/vacations. Is there any further movement on this being added? Thanks
Hello Greg Gibbs, welcome to the Community and Wrike!
At the moment, this suggestion remains a backburner but we'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates 🙋🏻♀️

Hello,
Our company is also interested in the feature because some of us have recurrent half days off to plan in Wrike so we upvoted it!
Can we loop back on this soon please? We're all out here, wasting time creating and logging time on 'half day holiday' tasks every time someone books it. If I can mark folk as out in Wrike for a full day, why not a half? Surely this is a simple one? Waiting for it to get 'upvoted' is nonsense - you can only upvote it if you see it. Or if you specifically search for it - there's got to be a lot of folk out there who want this but don't even know about this thread!
Hi everyone!
First of all, thank you for your continuous support of this suggestion!
I've checked with the team, and for now, they don't have an update for this idea as it's not on their roadmap at the moment. We understand that this isn’t what you would like to hear from us in relation to this, but we’d like to note that this doesn’t mean that the team won’t consider this suggestion in the future. They will continue monitoring your feedback from this thread and we will let you know if there’s any update/news to share here.
Stevie Kirk When deciding what to work on, the team looks at these votes and comments as well other information like data and analytics, research outcomes, and reviews all of these elements together to determine if a suggestion should be worked on.
The team review all of the suggestions that have reached the threshold of 60 upvotes regularly to see what factors are at play at the time and to determine if they can be worked on. This is why we encourage users to continue to vote and share feedback on suggestions, as the more votes and comments an idea has, the more the team understands how many users will see a positive impact from its implementation. At the same time, as I mentioned above, there are other factors as well, and other channels of communicating Product Feedback.
I hope I was able to shed some light on the team's prioritization process, but please let me know if I can help you with anything else!

This is a necessary feature for our team in Wrike. Would love to see it implemented soon!
Hi Cian McIntyre, thanks for adding your interest in this here!
As Lisa mentioned above, there are no plans for this at the moment, but we will keep you in the loop here if anything changes. If there's anything else we can help with, please don't hesitate to ask 🙂

Come on guys! 94 on the upvotes, many many comments - this needs to be brought up the priority list now. I'm going to talk to my account manager about how we escalate this (maybe everyone out there could do the same ;) ) And can we add...seeing time out on the timesheets ? Surely if someone has time marked out on their schedule this should show up automatically in their timesheet for that day?? This feels like a very basic thing that is missing, but important to many of your users.
Hi Stevie Kirk, I absolutely understand where you're coming from and so does the team. They are still interested in this idea and they're paying close attention to the feedback here with plans to review it in the future.
Again, thank you for your continuous support for this suggestion and as always we'll make sure to update you here if there are any changes.

Stevie Kirk I'm with you on this one. I seem to be quite unfortunate as pretty much all the improvements I would like all seem to have a high number of upvotes, however Wrike are not actioning them & get the stock response of they tale onbaord feedback etc. but yet 5 years on and still no closer to it being worked on.
Greg Gibbs thank you! I am so tired of making half day tasks for our team, and also the time taken to check timesheets is really not conducive to efficiency! My issue with upvotes is they only get the opportunity to get upvoted if someone takes the time to come on here and finds the right thread. I'm guessing there are lots more folk out there who would appreciate this. I logged it with my account manager today. Fingers crossed!

Can't believe this is still a 'backburner'. How do we help to get it off the backburner list and give it some more attention? It's really a problem child for us!! I have a Studio of over 50 people and have to create a 'half day' task to block their workload out every time they want to be off :(
Hi Stevie Kirk, thank you for your support here. I do understand how important this functionality is for your team. Unfortunately, for the time being, there are no plans to introduce such functionality. We'll definitely make sure to post updates to this thread.

This original post has 94 upvotes, isn't the requirement 60 upvotes for something to be taken seriously and implemented? When will this be implemented? My support tickets have no ETA.
Hey Nicole DiTrani! The 60 upvotes threshold means we add a Product status and the team gets new feedback from a thread more often and we ask for updates more often. The team can't commit to implementing any feature, but the votes definitely help during internal discussions.

It would be great to have the options to add in half days.
Many of our staff have a working pattern where they don't work afternoons due to child care commitments. Having visibility of this in Wrike for scheduling purposes would be helpful. Also when assessing resource against the effort required it would be useful.
Too bad this isn't something the dev team feels is a priority. Half day's are more common now with some public holidays and having to block off an entire day seems to be a miss as well. I'd be curious to know if there is a specific reason? Is it a challenge for the dev team that would cause issues elsewhere in the code? Either way it would be really handy if this could make its way onto the roadmap in 2023.
Upvoted too!! This is a MUST and is happening in almost every single company. Also I consider this feature of low complexity so i don't see the reason why not to implement. thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
Thank you for your continued feedback and upvotes here, everyone! We don't have an update at the moment, unfortunately, but we continue to pass on your feedback to our Product team.

Also upvoting this -- I understand not every feature can be a priority, or even necessarily implemented, but since we measure effort and other estimates in hours, it would be helpful if we could do that with our PTO/holiday schedules, as well.
Hi Karen Wolf, thank you for adding your support here!

@... and Lisa - Are you able to provide a status update on this thread? With the massive shift to remote work and flexible work schedules, this feature should be prioritized by the Wrike product team. This not only impacts workloads and resourcing for active projects, but also makes it almost impossible to forecast and meet Sales goals based on available capacity (agency model). Right now, we are having to work out of spreadsheets and across siloed systems when a simple solution would be allowing team members to add their PTO to Wrike in hour increments (not 8 hour.)
I understand the process the Product team uses for prioritizing feature updates - no need to provide a refresher on that. Just looking for something actionable from the Product team on when this will actually become a priority.
Thank you both!
Hi Anna Parrish, welcome to the Community, and thank you for sharing your use case. We don't have any updates for now, unfortunately. The team is aware of the feedback here and we are continuously sharing the suggestions and use cases posted. We'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.

in my opinion it adds functionality if in the work schedule can determine how many hours someone works that day. Normally we work 9 hours a day. When having this function also there should be a possibility to save comments per day or entry (as a reference on why the workday is different). Best would be if this can be linked to a request form. The limited functionality of the scheduler makes us since we start using Wrike one year ago use a space "administration" with folders for deparments and tasks for free days and hours. This works for our purpose but we miss a details scheduler because then the hours in the workload tool could reflect the actual hours employees work .
