Booked Effort Rollup in Folders and Spaces
Booked Effort rollup is currently unavailable from the Table View of a Folder or Space like many other custom fields. For many other fields, you are able to “enable [rollup] for all projects" within a space or folder (which cuts down on manual effort). For Booked Effort, if your projects are stored within a folder or space, you have to manually enable booked effort on all of your projects.
- I have been given the explanation that this is because "Booked Effort" is linked to projects directly and it is expected that roll up would only be available for projects. While I was given the explanation that "Other custom fields... are based on tasks. And in this case the rollup is available for all items (folders and projects) where those tasks are stored."
- It would also make just as much sense to say: "Booked Effort is based on projects. And in this case the rollup is available for all items (folders and spaces) where those projects are stored."
The documentation here seems to suggest you should be able to do this based on the "Tip" section.

-We're trying to get out of manually clicking into every project created in a specific folder on a weekly basis to enable Booked Effort roll-up using a Created Date report.

-From my perspective here, projects, like tasks, are often stored in folders--in addition to other projects.
