Finding task in Gantt Chart

does anybody have a fast way to find a task in the Gantt cahrt view?

We have projects with some hundreds of tasks and if you are on the Gantt chart you would like to know where in the Chartt is a specific task. You can find the task via search but that opens the task and closes the Gantt. So it does not show the position in the Gantt. I did not find any possibility to locate the task in the Gantt (beside searching through the whole chart by eye what is very tme consuming).

Does anybody have a clever idea for this?

Thanks Sven

Spot On Innovative Approach Stellar Advice

Hello Sven Passinger, thank you for posting on the Community Forum! I agree that finding something specific within a long chart can be time-consuming. Thankfully, there’s an easy way to perform an in-page search using an almost universal Find function. Please try the following steps:

1. Open Gantt Chart and click on "Expand all"
2. Press Ctrl+F (on PC), or Command+F (on Mac) on the keyboard and type a word or phrase

The functionality works in the Desktop application as well:

I hope it helps. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
