Enable users using the Free version to rename or add custom tasks statuses
It's a shame that renaming or adding custom task statuses is not possible because this should be the number one thing that users can do despite using the free version. Wrike is so far the best project management tool that my team would like to use but the inability to rename task statuses or even adding custom ones is a deal breaker for us. We are a small team and we can't afford paying for subscriptions for now.

This used to be a feature for the free version of Wrike. They removed the ability to change the statuses with an update a while ago. I noticed this when generic Green, Yellow, and Red statuses were added to the statuses I already had customized and I couldn't get rid of them.
Further, their pricing structure (e.g. requiring a minimum of five paid accounts to have a paid version, makes it clear that small companies are not their target market. It's a shame because it's a great tool and I can't recommend it to many people because of the limitations for small companies.

I might be wrong, but I think that custom statuses have always been a feature available on some paid subscriptions. Can it be that your team had a trial of a paid subscription and then moved to the free one?

No, ma'am. We've never had a paid account because of the minimum 5 users requirement. I have been using Wrike for years, and I think it's great except for the two things I mentioned above. I would pay for it right now if they let me select the number of users I need. However, it's clear that really small teams are not the target market, which I think is a shame because when people ask me what tools they should consider using (and I am asked often), I generally have to leave Wrike off the list because of that limitation.
