Adding shortcuts to the toolbar

Hi Gary Horne, thank you for taking the time to share your suggestions! At the moment, it's possible to have pinned items on the left menu but it's not possible to pin stream or calendars. I've passed on your feedback to our Product team 👍🏼

Agreed - 95% of my time is spent on the Dashboard and In Box pages and it would be nice to toggle between them in the pinned area at the top instead of using the left sidebar. Reports and other views should also be accessible here instead of in the sidebar. Search should also be available at the top of every page instead of hidden in the sidebar.

Does it help that you can customize your sidebar menu so that your Dashboards are easily accessible?

Also, search is always visible even if you scroll down, hope it's useful.

For me, not really. I still have to call up the sidebar menu and half the time have to collapse it when I'm done. I already had Search, Inbox and Dashboard active in the sidebar menu but it is tedious opening and collapsing it almost every time I use it. I find it distracting when it is open, and it takes away usable screen space. 

I would prefer if these options were available in one of the circled spaces along the top of the screen rather than in a sidebar. Search used to be present on my dashboard view and I could easily and repeatedly use the search feature without having to open the sidebar. If I remember correctly, there used to be a dashboard shortcut in this area three years ago or so. It was switched to the three-dot access menu, which was okay and I learned to live with it but I preferred when it was a visible option at the top of my screen. 

It would be nice if this area was customizable, kind of like you can customize the ribbons or place shortcuts in the menus in Excel. You don't have to open menus or scroll through screens to find the command or option you want if it is something you frequently use. I'm not sure how others use the Inbox and Dashboard views, but I spend almost all my time on one of these views and being able to seamlessly toggle between them would be a great help.
