Require Timelog Category
I love using the timelog categories! It helps us do a deeper dive into where our time is spent. This is when people remember to enter a category, of course. I find myself having to run a report and hound people to update their categories. Asking them to enter their time is already painful enough, now having to go back and say "Opps, you forgot to enter your category." adds another layer of annoyance.
It would be great if when the account admin choose the option to use timelog categories there is also an option to make it a required entry when someone hits submit for their time.

I am having the same issue, would also like to know if you can use a timelog category in a report with a formula, for instance for after hours could you create a formula that calculates the time log category multiplied by the uplifted rate for after hours. Example: (Billable Time-After Hours X 1.5 Billable Time (hourly rate))=billable rate after hours?

Hi! I'm going to bump this thread, and hope more folks will upvote it. Our company is really starting to lean into time tracking in Wrike, but many are hesitant because of the limited functionality.
This mandatory categories topic has become a big sticking point with me as I have so many entries without categories associated to them. I've tried whipping the team, but some are still not getting it. (I kid, I kid! No artist were harmed in the making of this post). A toggle to make the category field mandatory would go a long way to mitigate incomplete reports.
