See "grandparent" task from sub-subtask

Is there any report, dashboard, widget or view that will display, I guess, the grandparent task of a sub-subtask? Currently, when opening a sub-subtask, the only way to see the task two levels up is by hovering over the immediate parent task. But the grandparent task has information critical to carrying out the sub-subtask. It would save a lot of time if our assignees could view the grandparent task instantly, without having to click through and hover.

I have reviewed other best practices and I know sub-subtasks are not always advised, but in this case we have hundreds of projects generated from a single template, with multiple staff in multiple departments carrying out different parts of each project.

Hi Chaney Kourouniotis, it is not possible to view the grandparent task while viewing a sub-subtask at the same time in one tab. One workaround for this would be to open a tab with the grandfather task and another with the subtasks. Here, you will be able to check both tasks at the same time.

If you would like, I can add this thread to the Product Feedback section? This way, other users can vote for this suggestion and once it reaches 60 upvotes, our Product team will be able to provide the thread with a status update.

Hope this helped! If you have any other questions, let me know 😊
