My Work

I've searched the Community for a similar post to upvote but could not find one.

When I view the task list in My Work, is there a way to see which project the task is associated with?  Many of our projects are blueprinted and the tasks have the same title.

Thank you,

Wendy Borg

Wendy, on my task list in My Work, I see a tag for the project or folder. I use color-coding to make them stand out more. Is that not what you see?

Thanks for responding Claire!  I see tags for projects and folders only in "all my tasks" or "created by me," not "to do."

The problem is, the former two views show completed tasks also and cannot be filtered out.  Too much to see!

I also use color!

I had an online chat with Wrike yesterday and it seems the only way for me to see my active tasks by project is with a dashboard widget.

And no matter, b/c My Work is sunsetting!

If you have any suggestions, I love to hear them.

Thank you,

Wendy

Hmm, I don't seem to have the same UI you're describing. I don't have "all my tasks," "created by me," and "to do" under My Work. Instead, I see Today, This Week, Next Week, and Later. Is this some setting or option?

Not sure where to check settings except profile settings.  Perhaps it is an account setting I cannot see as I am not an admin or owner.  We are also enterprise.

There was a Wrike Labs option at one time you could have enabled that gave you a different version of the My Work tab that might account for the different UI. I ended up turning it off because it was driving me crazy not having things sorted by date.

I really like the new My to-do section in Personal Space. You have access to all the sorting options in a normal list view, so I can filter things however I want - by status, due date, date modified. It's nice to have that flexibility.

Dashboard widgets are the way to go for quick access for sure. The problem with using them per project is you have to constantly manually update your widgets depending on what your active projects are. Another option might be to set up a report if you want to have info from multiple projects in the same place. You could pick a high level Folder or Space to pull the data from, you have the same filtering options as a dashboard widget, and you can still click into each task description right from the report. You might find it helpful to subscribe to the report so that you can easily review tasks at certain days/times. This would be helpful too if others on your team need the info as they could subscribe to the report to get reminded of the info when it's convenient for them.
