[Status: Backburner ⏳] Notifications/Stream Entries for Duplicated or Recurring Tasks
When something is duplicated or created from a blueprint, no notifications are sent and no stream entries are made to indicate the new work. Please add an option to the duplication and create from blueprint dialog boxes to send assignees (and possibly followers too) notifications for the new work. Also, please add stream entries showing the initial task values.
When work is created from a template or blueprint, the assignees aren't notified but have to constantly inspect what's assigned to them looking for anything new. They should be made aware of any new work the same way: through an assignment notification, regardless of how the work was created.
During the same process (using templates and blueprints), the task history is lost. This behavior has caused me to lose information and be unable to accurately undo accidental changes. I recently re-assigned part of a blueprint to someone else not realizing they had put time off on their work schedule. Someone else noticed the dates moved, but since they haven't been rescheduled since they were imported into the blueprints from our old templates, I don't know what the date used to be. Adding stream entries to show the changes from a completely empty task would help immensely.
Hi Joshua!
When you create work from a Blueprint, there's an option to notify assignees:
I might have misunderstood (sorry if that's the case), so please let me know.

Hey Lisa,
That should help with that part of the problem, but I still have the problem of the initial values not being recorded in the task stream.
Hey Joshua, sorry for all the additional questions, but can you please specify about the task stream? Thanks!

Hey Lisa, by task stream, I mean the comment and update feed on any task, folder, or project. For instance, the task below is a new task that's part of a project from a blueprint. The date has been set because it was set in the blueprint and rescheduled during the creation of the project, but there are no entries in the task history to show what the starting values were if we need to know in the future.
Thank you for clarifying, Joshua, it really helps! I'll check with the team and get back to you as soon as I can!

Hi Joshua, this idea is currently not on the road map but our team is interested in the suggestion, so I'm changing the status of this task to "Backburner". I'll keep you posted if there are any updates!
