[Status: Investigating ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ] Getting to Task View from Modal Project View
It would be helpful if there were a link to view the task list when a project is being viewed in modal dialogue mode. Or indeed just a link to create a task.

Hey Lee, sorry for a long reply here!
Sorry if I misunderstood completely, but you can see the task list and also you can create a new task when you have the project open:
please let me know if that's not what you're asking for!ย

Yes, when the project is docked. I'm talking about when it is in modal view. When I have a project widget in a dashboard, and I click on one of the projects, it pops up as a floating window, and the only way I can see to get to the task list is to click the folder and find the project again (which is time-consuming). There's no way I can see to directly access the task list when a project pops up in this mode.
Thanks for your reply, Lee, I understand it now. I'm checking with the Product team now to add a proper status here as your post got 60+ votes.ย
Thank you for posting!ย

Lee, quick update: This enhancement is not planned at the moment, but it doesn't mean it will never be implemented. I'll let you know if there are any changes/updates.
Thanks for posting!ย

Hi Lee, just to let you know that this is not planned as of right now. If there are any updates, I'll keep you posted!
Just chiming in to say how incredibly useful this would be. This has driven me crazy since we first adopted Wrike. I pull reports and use widgets to manage projects and to not be able to jump directly in to see tasks masks it extremely cumbersome to diagnose the health of the project and where it stands. Sure hope this gets added to the roadmap soon!
Hi everyone! I have an update from the Product team for you - they are now researching this topic, so I changed the status here accordingly. I'll let you know once I have more updates. Thank you for your support for this suggestionย ๐ค

Hi Lisa, please add the following use case to this ticket:
This already exists and works on a task/subtask level:
ย
When can we expect an update here please?ย ๐
Welcome to the Community Vivien Bogatiย ๐ Thank you for sharing your use-case here, it's really helpful! I should be able to get back to you with an update this quarterย ๐

Thank you Lisa! Looking forward to itย ๐
100% support this. ย I really think you guys could adopt a bunch of good stuff around Wrike from this Task/Subtask modal, but this request in particular could get solved that way, especially as the modal Lee Richardsย is speaking of is barely discernible from the task modal in the first place. ย
Another great example of functionality out of the task/subtask view that is really missing in Wrike is being able to @mention other entities in Wrike in Rich Text Canvas, aka Task Description fields or comments, like in Asana. ย That's this request:
https://help.wrike.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115002961109--Linking-to-projects-tasks
It has been mentioned in there that you guys already allow for @mentioning in effect when you like subtasks to task, because you just start typing and you're presented the full list of tasks to link. ย All you'd need to do is implement that existing functionality and you'd solve that great need discussed in that post.
Really hope this happens sooner than later - would hate to have to wait a whole year for something so simple!
Also really great example from Vivien Bogati
Thanks Al Sape!ย

Hey Lisa, any word on the status of this? Even something like the clipboard icon in the top left or an option from the dropdown menu in the top right would be great.ย
Hi Leo Bertelli, welcome to the Community ๐
Thank you for bumping this thread and sharing your support here! The team is planning this for the next year, so I'll leave the status as Investigating for now and I'll let you know once I have more details.

Hi,
If you are in the folder or a project, it would be great that you can go to directly the default task view. It might the list view, but as good it might be table view or board view.
